USC Commitment Preview

USC is expected to pick up at least two commitments Friday on ESPNU. Serra safety C.J. Pollard, the son of former USC safety Marvin Pollard, has wanted to go to USC since birth, probably. And Bishop Amat defensive back-wide receiver Trevon Sidney is also expected to pick the Trojans, since basically everyone at Amat (and USC) expects Sidney and his more publicized teammate, Tyler Vaughns, to select the Trojans.

    • Scott was actually in the delivery room when C.J. Pollard was born…..In fact, they were going to name him after Scott, but they felt that naming him “Idiott” would have been too cruel……

  1. I hope Sark and Chris Wilson can convince Pollard’s teammate from Serra DE Oluwole Betiku to follow him and other former Serra players SC.

      • I thought the same thing. Since February he has been a bruin lean. But a lot of people are now hearing SC took over in the lead just two weeks after he didn’t have us in his top six. I don’t know any specifics on what has led to him warming up to being a Trojan, but all of a sudden “experts” have been predicting him to USC the last two weeks. You never know. But hopefully all the Serra players on SCs roster can bend his ear enough and we can win ball games to sign him. Sark and Wilson will be on him intensely.

  2. Double-barrelled no news alert:

Leave it to Wolfie to post about the items everybody who even loosely follows Trojan recruiting already knows.

Then he gives a big critical rundown on all the media people who covered women’s soccer and I didn’t know nor care about one person.

  3. If someone wants to attend USC “since birth” then I sure hope the odds are better than “probably”

    • That was my first thought. Scott must have been guessing off someone else’s predictions.

  4. 2017 USC RB commit Stephen Carr became a new 5 Star today for 247. Just an FYI.

      • And he’s not getting the attention like that Alabama commit Harris. I think he’s gonna be busy recruiting for us. Chris Hawkins dad is his 7 on 7 coach and says he’s the real deal.

  5. Sc needs to look at the running back from Crespi. Big dude, around 240 lbs. He is a junior and he plans to waste his life by going to the ruins. You don’t go anywhere in the nfl if you play for the ruins.
