Good News For Adoree Jackson

USC hired Arizona assistant track coach Sheldon Blockburger today. Blockburger is a highly respected jumps coach and coached 11 NCAA champions in different events during his 10 years in Tucson. It should be welcome news for Adoree Jackson (and others) since there were criticisms last season about the jumps coaching methods. Wonder if Blockburger will advise Jackson to skip spring practice and focus on the Olympic Trials next year?

i wonder what would’ve happened if Bo Jackson’s coach at Auburn was so stunningly selfish as to ban him from playing baseball and missing Spring football??

Scott; Seriously, stop. Adoree is a great athlete, a great football player, a great kid and a perfectly adequate jumper. The chance of him going to the Olympics next year is less than that of you winning a Pulitzer. Which is to say nonexistent.

Why did the Coach leave Arizona after ten years to take a similar position with the Trojans? Surprised a Caucasian is that highly regarded in the jumps.

Because USC pays big buck$. I remember UCLA’s former hall of fame coach Jim Bush coming over to USC to coach a year or 2 and mentioning the pay was higher at USC.
