Junior pitcher Brent Wheatley, a 17th-round draft choice of the Oakland A’s, will return for his senior season. He was 4-4 last season with a 4.50 ERA. Kyle Davis, a 29th-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays, is also expected to return. Davis was 3-3 with a 4.05 ERA.
Hooray for southern cal baseball… .500 baseball here it comes!!
I think we’re all starting to understand why you are a virgin.
Hey Ted, how badly did the ‘ruins choke in the regional they hosted being the top rated team. Regular season record is only good enough to get you in the tournament my friend. Trojans lose tough series to eventual title team Virginia!
A very valid question for Ted!
The loser mentality of Steve B is very telling of the culture of sports at southern cal…
Ted, You don’t answer questions either?
I like it when you answer questions for Juan Carlos.
What are moops?
You didn’t watch Seinfeld?
So you were happy that you lost!?! Because you lost to the eventual champions? That my friend, is a mindset of a loser… I bet you said “loss to Boston College does not matter, it is not a league game” southern cal, at least in the past didn’t take losing easy but now, to the likes of you, losing is a point of “pride” (Hooray! we lost to the eventual champs)… Oh how far have the trojans fallen! John McKay is spinning in his grave!
The real question is how many players will the ruins return vs USC next season. Will SC be favored to win the Pac?
So let’s see here, Wheatley was about a 500th choice, and Davis a 900th.
Yep, better concentrate on getting that degree, fellas
Irrelevant where you are drafted if player wants to get started on a pro career, and is not interested in being a student-athlete. Kyle Twomey was drafted believe in the 13th round by my Cubs , and signed with them. Surprise was Timmy Robinson going UN-drafted after a very decent season at the plate, and a solid center fielder. A good looking starters for the weekend in Wheatley, Davis, and Hart or a freshman/ JC transfer who shines in fall practice. Need to find a 2nd baseman, and catcher/1B depending where Martinez lines up.
