    • Iman “Biggie” Marshall. Why? He’s a special talent. He’s gonna have a bigger impact then Adoree had defensively. Hes extremely physical and smart. But that answer is too easy. I’ll give another name.

Porter Gustin. Why? He’s already built like a junior or senior at 6-5 245. He’s smart, mature beyond his years. He’s got big football IQ. Very athletic for his size. He’s gonna be a force at DE in my opinion.

      • Great.. Biggie has no limits, young man’s impact will be huge.. On D side biggest in
years. As I hoped both you and Helen have gone deeper into freshman class…Let’s just all agree at this moment Biggie is on his own planet, with in my opinion maybe up to another 8-10 that will contribute by seasons end in an important manner.Sleepers…Say like a Petite, Ware,C. Smith…. ?A Davis? Pretty impactful class…

        • Sleepers:
Cam Smith-blew up this spring and summer
Tyler Petite-will get a chance early
Noah Jefferson-has a chance on a questionable DLine to play early at 6-5 285

          • Exactly, Smith was monster in spring. Kid has certainly made impression on coaches, along with the physical impression he made on his teammates…. In coverage, he made a number of interceptions. Yesterday day in conversation you mentioned our new depth…. As you said way beyond the 22 of recent years.

        • Marshall could very well end up at Safety and have a Jalen Ramsey type of impact like he’s had a FSU.
But I want to see him at Corner. I think he’ll be on the opponents best receiver.

    • Marshall – that’s a no-brainer. Gustin – cuz we need sacks badly. Smith – he’s a stud in the middle and we need muscle. Jones – I feel the need for speed. Ross – he is better than people realize.

      • My younger cousin started for Riverside Poly at guard playing with Ross. He’s gonna be on the field making plays somehow, someway. Safety or making a splash in special teams returning punts or kicks. He’s an all around player. Great highlight tape on him.

      • I like you went deeper into the class, Biggie will play on his own planet.. Class is so deep 8-10+ could be mentioned.. And I’m sure by year end there would be a couple more I would have left out of 10…PLUS the JC and (a blue shirt maybe) and a transfer…

        • Blue shirt Burnett was a huge surprise this Summer…. Sort of an after thought of the class.. Will he be someone by year end who’s made impact.. Or will he be redshirt? We will find out.

    • Mr Peter:
Are you trying to take Mr Wolfs job? What could be more important than the uniforms changing for 1 game this season? Have you not read the days and days of blog post concerning shoes, colors of uniforms and helmets shininess? You my friend have cross the line with your interesting question and all I can say is good day!

      JW

PS- Nellie got a kick out of your name Mr, Peter

      • With my age sometimes I forget the question… PS-over the years quite a few Nellie’s have got a “kick” out out of my name..™

    • You could add JC transfer, Isaac Whitney, Kessler feels he will have a big impact with his size and speed.

      • Absolutely Whitney!!! Hampton also, he came later, yet at the end of summer throwing ,he improved greatly. They both have height and arm span .Plus blue shirt Burnett, and the TE transfers….

        • I was reading about how USC hadn’t talked to Melquise Stovall for over a month until today. He’s worried that they are giving him the cold shoulder. I guess Keith Hayward spoke to him confirming that everything is good, but it doesn’t sound as though he’ll make the class. He wants to be a Trojan. I’m thinking the staff is moving on wanting his scholarship for another player.

          • Wow, he’s our only RB
commit, and I had read couple weeks ago he possibly would be only one in class. As you said he wants to be a Trojan. I know he’s been very active at camps talking to others. Concerning , can’t see us without a rb in 2016,wonder what’s up? Any ideas?

          • I’d like him to be a Trojan. It’s not certain he won’t be one, but it looks cloudy. Our 2017 5 Star RB commit Stephen Carr is his cousin. The word is Stovall potentially not being a Trojan won’t affect Carr becoming one. I think the staff jumped the gun to early with the commitments from our Hawaiin LB, and the two 3 star DLinemen. Three more who could get bumped out of the class. Hopefully he makes the class. There hasn’t been much interest at RB or at least not many offers. I wouldn’t be surprised if they pass on taking one, since we have 5* Carr and are pursuing another 5* Najee Harris who’s currently commited to Bama, but most believe SC will close in on him. Both for 2017.

          • With your heads up want to follow this. Is it Carr or Stovall who’s friend’s with Harris? 2016 class doesn’t appear to have the strength of 2017.In my opinion I would think one off the 3 commits ( lb,DL) you mentioned would loose offer before Stovall. Again will be interesting to follow.

          • I think Carr is friends with him. And Carr has also said he will recruit others to his class. There’s a DLineman from Utah Maxs Tupai who SC really wants but his grades are iffy. He just finished summer school. He is a top target to bump one of the current commits. For sure not Keshon Camp, he’s an automatic to the class.

          • Have followed the Tupai recruitment.. His grades are very iffy. The 2016
class doesn’t have a lot of highly rated players left to commit,at least not like last year.Vaughn’s commit should come soon.Season is just about to start, all levels. As always ,we will see some shaking up with Seniors, those committed and yet to.

  1. It’s interesting how rational the conversation turns when a reader asks a legitimate USC football question as opposed to Wolf’s original grab at sensationalism.

  2. QUESTION OF THE …..DAY
WHO POSTS BETTER TOPICS ON THE BLOG, WOLF OR PETER?

  3. SCott, how about YOU wear an alternate uniform in 2015?….. I have yet to see you wear a shirt with a collar and buttons…..
