Jack Del Rio Becomes Pete Carroll

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio has become Mr. Positive as he tries to get the Raiders to shed their negative image/atmosphere, according to USA Today.

Key excerpt: “The Raiders have contracted a “mindset coach” to work with Del Rio’s staff on not only the message, but also ways coaches can keep their own energy flowing through nutrition, exercise, sleep and recovery. They’re playing music to fill breaks and emphasize points in meetings, focusing on positive reinforcement and encouraging players to express themselves.”

This sounds like something USC will have soon (if it doesn’t already). And it’s a new image for Del Rio, at least compared to the sometimes surly figure that wore No. 52 in the mid-1980’s.

  1. Scott Wolf becomes Jim Murray……just kidding! …..not in a million years!

  2. Scott, perhaps you should get a “mindset coach” to shed your negative image /atmosphere?

  3. Lets see trying to learn from one of the most successful coaches in football. Maybe you could should take a cue here cuz.

  4. Positive thinking will only get you so far. The Raiders can be positive about their upcoming season all they want, but that won’t change the fact that they are a poor football team
