USC Freshman Secondary Steps Up At Practice

Freshman safety Marvell Tell intercepted a pass at today’s practice and cornerback Iman Marshall enjoyed his best practice according to USC coach Steve Sarkisian. The players wore shoulder pads for the first time, which allowed Marshall’s physical play to be more apparent.

Meanwhile, if you planned on coming to practice Tuesday or Wednesday, the time was changed to 5:30 p.m. both days at Howard Jones Field.

  1. This what I am talking about Wolfy – throwing downfield is not an option against this D

  2. Biggie, Marvell, 4 of the Best Linebackers in the Country, several other Top DB’s, Top Defensive Lineman – Recruiting Class 2015, Rivals #1 Class, Scout #1 Class…

The 2015 USC Recruiting Class will go down as one of the Best Recruiting Classes that College Football has ever seen !

Play them all 2015, no Redshirts !!

    Can’t wait !!!

      • IMO. We will have a top 4-7 class this season. But 2017 class is deeper and the kids are heavy on USC. All across the country. Look out for next years class.

    • It definitely could be one of the best. But in my opinion it has the potential to be the best Defensive recruiting class ever at USC. Every defensive back in the class was in either the Under Armour or Army All American games. Linebackers that will rival Pete’s group with Maualuga, Cushing, and Mathews. And give them time, but our DLine guys have the size to and athleticism to be special. If Jacob Daniel stays healthy he’ll be on the field regularly as a true freshman.
