There’s a rumor from yesterday that Towne and father asked for realease to transfer. Sark agreed.. He’s not at practice today..
All over twitter.
I guess he didn’t want to compete. One had to assume one or two of these QBs was not going to sit around. Darnold has looked better and isn’t the diva that Ricky may be.
I don’t think he’s a diva or is afraid to compete, Darnold just looks to be a lot better. Darold is bigger, has a stronger arm and is a better runner, which is a lot to overcome. The difference between the two is pretty striking.
It seems young Mr. Town transferred away VERY early in the process. Seems a little diva like and perhaps the competition was tougher than expected, IMO. I am sure he has plenty of other suitors.
Like J.P. Losman?
Pretty much except that JP transferred and he probably would have won the job. JP had an interesting mother that was part of the equation as well.
Do you think that was the beginning of the end of the Toledo Era?
St. Bonaventure High School is notorious for producing overhyped players (Whitney Lewis and Lorenzo Booker….. Bryce Dixon was an exception), just like Orange Lutheran High School (Aaron Corp, Troy Vanblarcom and Blake Ayles… Austin Pettis may be the exception)
Thanks Peter for again providing more relevant and interesting content than the Blogger himself. Could you just run the blog from now on?
I was in West Point, Mississippi one August, and went out for a little run of an hour, and after 20 minutes I had to stop, red-faced and panting in that heat and humidity.
At least in L.A. it is more dry, although it still amazes me these kids can endure the August punishment.
