  1. Pat Haden could provide real leadership here and give coach the opportunity to get the help he may need. Clay Helton could be interim like he was for the LV bowl. I suspect this may be to close to home for PH given his sideline rant at Stanford last year and he may not like the implication to himself.

  2. What’s the point of this? Considering the amount of food ordered, there were quite a few people.

      • When shots are $10 each (about as much as all the appetizers a person can eat)…and when celebrating cinco de mayo… this is a normal bill. If I was out with a big group of friends…my bar bill could well be identical.

I’m not trying to diminish what Sark did. I’m disgusted by his behavior…but this bar bill is non-issue with me….he was out with his staff having fun.
His tab was probably no where near the biggest in that restaurant that night.

  3. Pat Haden refused to hire Ed Orgeron who publically states he doesnt drink. I always wondered why he wasnt hired as HC. Possibly too close to the fire for people at USC? It now seems that maybe part of Coach Os decision not to drink and kerp it out of the locker room didnt quite fit into the culture… just an observation.

    • Remember, the blue bloods thought Ed was beneath them. Imagine what they thought Saturday night…

    • Ed was a violent alcoholic for years…which is why he had to leave Miami. He got things together, primarily because Pete gave him a second chance.

Does Sark get a second chance? I’m on the fence on this…given the length of his contract, I doubt USC can afford to let him go and have to pay him well over $12M

  4. I can see from the comments that the usual brain dead rah rah idiots just don’t get it. Sark’s situation has to be dealt with NOW or this will just continue. This type of stuff will be looked for by the media as well as the scumbags at TMZ etc. This isn’t over and it will get worse the longer the weak t!t AD does nothing. Sark has to be disciplined NOW, be it a suspension, fired, rehab stint, a silly ” apology ” isn’t going to make this go away.

This is not what USC needs right now especially after the Josh Shaw incident, the NCAA violations, the Kiffin fiasco, deflated footballs, Brice Dixon’s court battle ( which isn’t over ) it just seems endless at USC these days and it all starts with the leader of the athletic department, Pat Haden not IMMEDIATELY doing something when this krap arises, Haden needs to go.

    • I concur – USC has <24 hrs. before they meet the 4th estate. This is a real problem for Haden and he's loathed to discharge Sarkisian but what else is lying out there? i.e. Josh Shaw with he and his 'crew' all spouting the same myth – reverse here – can anyone believe this is all there is?

      Nothing up at Washington?

      • Like I said John, you’re a brain dead rah rah. Instead of spewing something a 12 year old would say, tell me where I am wrong, if you can manage that with your limited brain

    • Why don’t get lost. Wolf is feeding the Trolls as well as Sark haters such as yourself with any trash he can find. I would ban him from practices if I were the SC admin

    • Haden first had to clean up 17 years of Athletic Dept garbage – an enormous task he’s almost completed.

Second he had to deal with the NCAA past and future.
His seat on the CFB playoff committee speaks volumes about how his peers view him.

Finally, Haden has built a solid base for student athletes –
one with clear boundaries and great rewards. Look at the TE situation this year. Pat would rather not SCheat to keep one good guy eligible nor excuse a SCex offender and put him on the field.
Yet he has given the department and the student athletes, particularlyin key sports, all the tools to succeed. Pat is a great competitor and a good man, Proud to be SC.

  5. Sark is only in trouble if St. Pat publicly states that he is 150% (or 100%) behind him. We all know how that translates from Irish.

    • If Paddy O’Hadden makes him go rehab or suspends him, season is shot, if he does nothing, and Borrocho blows it, (he will) then Paddy is gone…What a pickle!!

  6. OK, Who the hell ordered an Absolute Cosmo???? This is a FOOTBALL program, dammit!

    • It was either someone, probably a blonde woman, sneaking her drink onto Sark’s tab (“Oh, I’m with those gentlemen”, pointing to loud and drunk table on the corner), or someone who bought a drink hoping to start a beautiful friendship, most likely with another blonde woman.

  7. Suckisian is as good as fired … Haden anymore PC loser assistants you wanna hire now !

  8. wolfman i have two CRUCIAL follow up questions:

    1) where were Seven Shot Sark’s Asst coaches?? no one watching his back?? not one person from Southern Cal picked up on the fact he was totally plowed??

    2) who is the back stabbing trOXan who released the Vid of Borrocho?? the video in cases like these makes the PR worse x10!!! no chance for someone to say, “he wasn’t that bad” we SEE it on video!!

    #WithFriendsLikeThese

    • It’s not “Seven Shot Sark”. The bar tab clearly states it is “Seven App Sark”. Get your nicknames straight.

  9. Cuz your mocking the ridiculous information that comes out and you post it on your site? Guess that means your part of the problem. Step 1 realize you have a problem. You and Sark can go to meetings together.

  10. So the Husky fans and types (like this Seattle radio tool) seem to be happiest about this, which I don’t really get. We took a coach that by your accounts, is terrible. Be happy you don’t have him and move on. The Husky obsession with Sark is strange to say the least. On the other hand, sober or not, SC is gonna kill Udub this year. Hell, SC could beat them without a coach. That’s gotta sting I guess…

  11. Hate to pile on. This is a real mess made worse by a still-in-denial USC Admin culture refusing to a) acknowledge problems b) get out ahead of big, nasty stories and keep dumpster fires from raging across the entire campus. A world class institution founded in the heart of Hollywood that still doean’t GET how the Tinsel Town Media Machine works.

    Talk about Institutional Ignorance.

Meanwhile, across town the folks in Westwiid wrestled all off season with scandals that threatened to kill their own Football reboot in its infancy. But there, inatead of arrogance, denial and self-deatruction, you see a Signing Day mess, a Celeb campus assault and potental staff NCAA violations being handled openly, definitively and most importantly proactively.

What the Wolfman is/has been doing (much to the collective chagrin of the USC fanbase) is quietly whispering “The Emperor has no clothes.” So… On the upside, what Coach Sark has really done is hand you a great excuse for going 7-5. Because that was in the cards already.

    • This is a gift to the trolls, opponents, recruits pulling back, media – this is a mess and it’s on Haden. This is his hire and it seems it was one based on not considering anyone else save Petersen (whose own integrity is a bit shaky lately).

As to UCLA – I wouldn’t be too smug – I don’t think Mora acting as a probation officer gains anything save for players to get real tired of it – kids do when their parents, teachers yell at them.

      • You might be right there. But I think we’ll take our chances. USC is a fine program with rich tradition. Everyone knows that. This is just so bad for business, city, state and conference wise.

What’s worse (and I believe this is what Wolfe is getting at) is Hayden knew about the issue before he pulled the trigger on Sark’s hire. He enabled this crap so it’s not only too late to apologize and correct for it, it’s also hypocritical and beyond that pointless.

Sark has an alchohol problem. You don’t bring THAT to Los Angeles (of all places!) when rebuilding a solid, accountable culture is what YOU were brought in for.

So don’t get mad at Wolfe for doing his job. This IS news.

        • Uhhh this is a major story that Wolf is moving with – no one should have any problem with that. As you have noted what is confusing is why Haden either failed to do any real background check or worse is the foolishness on Sarkisian’s part to ascend that podium in that condition and then the use of the language.

This incident will define Pat Haden and he knows it. Hope is he makes the right decision for the university.

    • The SUCK honeymoon is now way over … any disappointment this year , and there will be and he is gone because there is no returning from this Kiffin like crap

  12. you don’t think that fat loser doesn’t deserve a nickname … oh ya , you backed Kiffin too

    • You know, that’s really an AD problem. UCLA knows all about it. Both Guerrero & Hayden have multi-millon dollar pay plans but neither has a Rolodex come hire-time. Hayden should have broke from the Carroll tree and started fresh. Del Rio comes to mind.

      • Del Rio would’ve been a good hire. But he and Haden both knew he still had the NFL bug. And I wasn’t convinced that James Franklin was the guy like Keyshawn Johnson did. Johnson cried publicly when Franklin was passed up. But a name that never came up that I was kind of hoping for was Ken Norton. He had a real connection with SC and is a players coach and would be a great recruiter. He was my first choice.

        • Yes… Norton was a legendary Linebacker (TYVM!) and a Legendary LB coach but, do not mistake a tough position coach for a potential head coach. There’s a reason Norton never ascended beyond it. A HC’s responsibilities are as enormous and never-ending as they are delicate and multifaceted. Way too much for most. Just ask Mike Singletary.

  13. The rot doesnt stop with 7ark. Youre right about shoot the messenger. A classic tactic when facts are against you.

    • Indeed. All rivalry spite aside, this crap is just bad for the city, bad for the conference, bad for all the families and just plain old bad for business. Fresh off probation and STILL so many basic lessons go unlearned.
