  1. Good Lord, give it a rest, Wolf

The guy made a mistake, came clean, and probably will never do it again. Oh, yeah, and his team probably likes him better than ever because they put him through a “hazing” program because of his indiscretion. I bet the kids love him more than ever, seeing his vulnerability and his willingness to man up to it.

I have a better feeling about the season ahead than before.

    • I’d have a better feeling if Wolf would grow up and report on the team like the other legit beat writers, like Gary Klein.

    • Agree, he was embarrassed, humbled and he stood up like a man by himself. This now needs to be handled by Sark and those close to him. The University can help with what ever he needs. Which could be anything from substance abuse, stress, depression, exhaustion and or hypertension. Capt. Steve of the good ship Cutty Sark needs to sail a straight course from now on! Fight On SS, we love ya! Now let’s go play some football!

      • Let’s not forget the divorce from the money-grubbing wife. My friends that have gone through a divorce really let it affect them.

        • Helen, she’s a friend of a friend of mine. She is not a money-grubbing wife. Married a long time, didn’t work out. Neither is to totally blame. You’d like her.

          • I’m sure you are happily married so you wouldn’t understand what happens to couples like Sark & his wife. But someday, your man may leave you as well.

          • Tell me Ms Jean, which Sark half was a philandering twit, and loudmouth drunk.

          • You shouldn’t badmouth drunks since you yourself are a full-blown alky who handles himself poorly every day here. No wonder you love the sauce uclaownszilch.

          • Jacky’s balloon of self esteem continues to leak.

Any word on Klown U’s Men’s basketball team “Spaghetti Tour.”

Klown U Beach Volleyball chumps. Fight on Jacky.

          • He’s at westwood, riding his bicycle wearing his jean shorts. Aren’t you with him this time?

          • You shouldn’t badmouth other posters, Jackie Girl. You’ll get booted from your brony club. Remember, Friendship Is Magic!

          • Is it true she’s trying to nail him to the wall? I have a couple of usually solid people telling me that. I’m not judging. It’s her business. I’d just like your opinion since you say you know her.

          • Non Sequitur Helen. You don’t hear me projecting Sark’s wife as a Money-Grubber.

Chances are Helen, you’ve tried to money-grub and came up empty.

        • Steve Sarkisian married his wife about 16 years ago when he was an assistant coach at El Camino community college , so how does that make her a money grubbing wife ?

        • yes, the divorce has absolutely NOTHING to do with his drinking and womanizing. Nothing. This was just a one-time thing. A mistake. A never-to-happen again thing. #headinthesandU

      • my analysis of the video proved CONCLUSIVELY he was disingenuous concerning his comments about what happened, his “working on” his problem, and that he was sorry about it.

wake up…..he looks like a guey who can’t wait to set em up one more time.

        #ScienceIsReal

      • Spot on Golden.

Helen – they have been together ~20 years, married when they had nothing, raised a family and now she wants half of what they accumulated. Black letter law is not greed. Plus now the cameras have caught a picture of what she was dealing with, ex the cheating of course. Probably broke her heart along the way, not to mention how alcoholic behavior hurts children.

    • i agree. it’s really GREAT that borrOcho is embarrassing the entire Clown College!! (and that ain’t easy!!)

you gueys are really LUCKY this happened!! in FACT, i wish MORA would show up in public so plowed he is pulled off stage and screamed at by Dapper Dan Guerrero!!!

      #VeryWeakSpinAttempt

    • IMO Alcoholics drink whether they want to or not unless they get help. Sark’s drinking and womanizing already cost him a long term marriage to a very good woman, and probably strained relationships with his children, family, friends and employer. Bout par for the course.
Now he has a choice to make or he loses everything else.
Some folks have to lose it all, others smell the coffee brewing and wake up.
I hope for the best, and am sure Pat, Max and the entire USC community do too. They however, also are tasked with
planning for the worst, which I’m also sure they are doing.

Godspeed Steve on your journey, and a big Fight On this season !

  2. Weirdly enough, as bad as this situation has become for Sark, it could strangely work to his benefit if his team develops a “win one for the Gipper” approach to the season for a coach they obviously like. I’m not saying it will happen, but it could. Players have already said the team has become closer. We shall see. Could be all talk. Could be a better sense of resolve for a fallen soldier.

    • Not likely. Leadership inspires achievement. Id like to be wrong and eat my words and play in the BCS playoffs. Just sayin’!

    • I think that can work for a game or two. I don’t know if a team can go an entire season on emotion alone, IMO. If it could, then Ed O would have been a great guy for the job.

      • I’ll take a game or two at this stage. Besides, I don’t think it will happen. If it happens against Notre Dame and ucla, that’s all I ask.

        • Jack, I always get a kick out of your “little gutties” comments because you are the only guy that even though you use it as an insult, know that it isn’t really an insult, because the real “gutty little Bruins” could play and played with heart. The original “gutties” would not have been a no-show against Stanford last year.

I heard an interesting story about the ’66 Rose Bowl. I am sure you know of Bobby Stiles and the “alleged” tackle on MSU running back Bob Apisa. The tackle was actually made by Jim Colletto. Stiles was lying on the ground and Ducky Drake came to check on him and Stiles looked up and asked him, “do you think the Sports Illustrated photographers got the picture yet?” And the legend lives on.

I do hope Sark gets it together, particularly off the field.

          • You’re talking to the wrong guy. I’ve got the famous picture framed and in my living room, four feet from me now. I bought the print straight from SI.

It’s my favorite picture in all of sport. The original Norman Rockwell. I even think Terry Donahue, wearing #63, is running off in the background, though I could be wrong. It’s got more colorful drama (including the single glaring orange in the foreground) in 8 X 10″ than any photo I’ve seen in sport except Ali screaming over Liston.

I disagree about the tackle. Stiles didn’t start it but he did finish it, definitely. I’ve seen it carefully on film many times and he hit Apisa before he went down.

I’ve been told by a seemingly knowledgeable ucla guy that Stiles was faking it too. He swears that’s the true version and that Stiles winked to him, or someone else, when being led off the field.

ucla had the greatest uniforms in the game at the time. They were perfect and now you’ve screwed ’em all up. But back then, you were No. 1 and nobody else had those great khaki pants.

And when little gutties call USC Southern Cal, I love it. When I was young, USC was often referred to as Southern Cal and it was in the papers like that all the time. Funny how things really are as opposed to how people presume they are.

          • I see Stiles weekly. I was talking to him just the other day and he was the one who relayed the story along with another old Bruin that I know. Maybe he doesn’t remember all the details correctly at this age! He is quite a character.

They were great unis that have been screwed up. I didn’t realize that they had been dark blue and Red Sanders changed them to the powder blue for black and white television. At least that’s what I read recently. Sanders created the numbers as well.

I don’t know why the “Southern Cal” is a big deal. Never understood it. Now the Bruins need some “big gutties” to show up for big games. We will see. Promises to be an interesting game. I hope the game at the Coliseum is for the South. Obviously, we are on opposite sides of that one, but it has been a long time since that game had 2 teams that were both playing for something.

          • I never necessarily thought he was knocked out, just that he needed help getting off.

Has he told you that he literally faked the whole show? If so, more power to him. He was in on the tackle and it saved the game – a huge upset. Someone pinned the shot up to my HS locker room blackboard before a game and yelled, “Do you want it this bad?” We all went nuts. Not sure if we won or lost though. But I have always loved the photo.

          • He acted as if it was a show as far as being knocked out. Stiles was a great player, especially for a very little guy. Told me his Long Beach City College team was more talented than that UCLA team and that Prothro was a genius. Certainly a big upgrade from Bill Barnes. That Rose Bowl game was the first college game I ever went to in person.

Years later I met Bob Apisa when he came into our business. He was wearing a State t-shirt. Huge dude and virtually no fat. Totally chiseled. It’s funny how we get to relive things sometimes. Great memories.

          • What is he? 5-8, 180 now?

Dallas Grider, Mike Ballou and Beban were all great players I thought and Witcher and Altenburg of course are not to be forgotten.

          • “Southern Cal” never was a big deal. Someone made mention of it 25 years ago and that was enough to send the trolls into a tizzy that lasts until this day.

  3. He’s mixing pills with booze, his wife is divorcing him and if he gags two gimme wins and loses to ucla like he did last year, rehab might be the least of his worries.

  4. I guess 34% feeling better at this point is a good thing? Not great approval… I’ll repeat that I hope I’m wrong and that we play in the BCS playoff!

    • 34% think Hillary is honest. What a stupid, waste of time, idiotic poll. Why ask it. Shows what a total horses rear end Wolf has become. And how stupid we are to respond on here and keep his job for him.

          • UCLA is overdue I guess. They go about 1 time every 60 years.

1 Rose Bowl win in the last 30 years ROFL

          • Trolls are funny. They love barking from the cheap seats because they’re never where the action is. They haven’t won a big game this entire century, not by the standards of the big dogs who actually finish at the top on the field.

          • What big game has Klown U won this century – The Geo. Tech Sun Bowl game?

Who can forget Klown U up 12 points on Texas with 10 minutes to go, and Klown U snatches defeat from the jaws of victory – a little Petey special. Flex for us Jacky.

          • And the last time your team almost sniffed the national championship game they were more focused on affirmative action, forgot to tackle, got curb stomped by Edgerrin James, and then blamed the loss on a phantom fumble.

          • Bronies like you are funny, Jackie Girl. You tell us Friendship Is Magic but don’t practice it.

        • Remember that you have to win the conference to be legit in the eyes of the conference. Beating USC is one thing. For not winning the conference in I don’t know how long you sure talk a big game my friend.

    • No more BCS. Its the College football Playoffs.

I think that 34 % is probably low due to the flood of Trolls, UCLA fans, and Sark haters that frequent this website.

  5. His personal life , and actions over the last 6 months have falling right into the rumored reputation he had at the University of Washington. So I really don’t know what to think of the guy at this point, but let’s wait to pass judgement until after the upcoming season. But I thought he was a weak leader of men when USC hired him, and he’s proven me right.

    • Hes made an impression on some of the top high school recruits that placed him at the head of the class this past season.

He has a team ranked anywhere from 3 to 10 in virtually every poll and preseason magazine going into the 2015 season.

Lets give the guy some credit and a bit of wait and see.

  6. Can you stop the obsession over this issue and get back to the efforts of the team on the practice field? I counted only 1 of the last 25 topics that you have posted that were related to the teams efforts and football.

Tell us what happened in practice today that may have shown that the offense rebounded from a poor performance in the scrimmage on Sat.

Update us on the injury status on the kids.

Let is know how Darnold is looking at QB.

Update us on the latest recruiting efforts.

Give us some insight on how Connelly the new OL coach is handling the Offensive Line.

Update us on the progress of the freshman and which ones may have a chance at significant playing time in game 1.

Give us some update on how the kids drafted this past season are progressing in the NFL preseason.

Update us on Coliseum Improvements we can expect to see for the Arkansas State game.

I’m interested in how the team is doing not Peyton Place.

    • Darnold? He’s not playing this year so why bother? OL? Weak and getting weaker. Adore? Flashy but still afraid to hit. Su’a? Embarrassed by Sark and bolting as soon as El Paso Bowl is over. Recruiting? Yeah, parents are thrilled with latest goings on and are certain to push their kids toward SC. There.

  7. so, what’s the guess on his “medication”? Depression? SSRI’s won’t do that. Xanex? Even high school kids know what happens when you drink on that. What else?

    • Why use that as s tool. It could be 1 of a thousand medications he could be taking. That’s his personal business.

Let us know which ones you are taking. Yea you don’t want to tell either.

      Move on…

  8. All of you who voted worse are Ucla trolls, Sark haters, or those who are just envious of successful people that love to see their lives or careers fall apart cause you feel so inadequate about your life.

  9. The votes are pretty even.

    Off topic:
The Stanford Band Drum Major took a shot at USC and Sark today on Twitter. I expect these things to happen and don’t really care. But it’s kind of funny to me because “The Stanford Band” and their Gilligan hats won’t be able to leave The Farm this season. No Coliseum for the Tree band!

  10. whattha…..hey i just realized that during his Step 9 apology speech, borrOcho dint apologize to the other Pac12 teams he insulted. or does he still think they “suck”??? as Whicker pointed out, these teams are 9-0 against borrOcho in his Pac12 career.

but even in his wasted state borrOcho was too chicken to insult the BRUINS….’cause we’re WAAAAAY inside his head. i can guaran-fing-TEE we’ll beat him again this year.

    #Don’tBeSkippin’Steps

    • HH confirmed that they all still suck, including ND since they haven’t done anything since ’88

  11. Predictions:
Charles Arbuckle has USC losing to Oregon.
Mike Bellotti has USC beating Oregon, and believes USC is the best team in the conference.
