Man Arraigned For Having USC Copy Of O.J. Simpson Heisman

Lewis Eugene Starks Jr., 56, of Apple Valley, was set to be charged with possession of USC’s copy of O.J. Simpson’s Heisman Trophy and a plaque, and knowing that they had been stolen.

The items were stolen more than 20 years ago from Heritage Hall. Starks is accused of trying to sell the items last year and faces up to six years in prison if convicted, according to prosecutors.

  1. The handsome O.J., with all his records at SC and in the NFL, a guy who gave it his all in movies and on t.v., to mixed reviews, but what a loss not only for him, obviously, but for America as well.

He was an icon, a hero, and America has so few of those. And then he threw it all away– for a dame who didn’t even love him anymore.

    • A “dame”?
Walnut, just how old are you?
The Juice is a straight up psycho and you still worship him.
Get a grip, dude, there was no “dame” involved when he held the guy up in the hotel room. (or was there???????) Only the shadow know!!!

      • OK, I’m going to type this, and just type it once. During the trial days, I was on Compuserve a lot as a member of the “OJ Guilty” forum. I believed all the evidence was there to convict him. I argued that he was guilty. The whole thing was a mess, and at that point, I wasn’t thinking of him as a USC alumnus. I think he’s guilty. But its old news now, its in the past. UCLA trolls pretty much feed on the fact that he Is a USC alumnus . He could have stole a candy bar in their twisted thinking and still crucify him. I know for a fact that the trolls on here are not a good representation of true Bruin fans, so I can’t get too upset.

    • Heaven FORBID someone come around here to bash OJ!!

why would anyone be struck by the preposterous notion of some rummy who stole a trophy facing six more years than OJ ever did for decapitating two people.

  2. It really looks like someone altered that picture of OJ. Expand it and you can tell around the lips. Also his eyes appear to have been darken. I remember that picture and this one is noticeably different.

  3. I watched him carry the Olympic Torch up the Wilshire incline from the bottom of PCH up to Ocean Avenue back in 1984. He almost seemed confused but as many began to yell his name – that smile.

Such a sad end and yes John he never should have left Marguerite and married that ‘frau’ and her whole family. He’s guilty and he has to live with it but w.o. a doubt one of the best running backs in the history of college and the NFL – probably the best considering the years he spent with Buffalo and the yards he got there.

  4. Isn’t there a statute of limitations issue here? 20 year ago for receiving stolen property?

    • He was trying to sell something he new was stolen. That was Farely recent. That is a crime.

  5. OJ is just one of the many egomaniacs that end up in a prison cell because he thought he was better than all of us.
