USC Morning Buzz: 30 For 30 And JuJu Smith-Schuster

USC fan interest in ESPN’s upcoming 30 for 30 film seems to be intense. Is that going to mean a let down when people actually see the film? Here’s a comment from the filmmaker:

“I arrived at USC at the same time Coach Pete Carroll did,” said filmmaker Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, who is also a professor at the USC Cinema School. “What I remember is an electric atmosphere, an expectation that exciting things could happen at any moment, on the field as well as the sideline. It was entertaining. It was exhilarating. It was the Hollywood Dream.”

Meanwhile, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster’s become a fiery leader for the Trojans.

  1. On the Ju Ju story:
Where’s the coaches? Why does Ju Ju have to do this? Do the coaches just want to love and be loved?

    • Juju just has that more mature leadership quality in him. He’s only 18 or 19. But smart, intense on the field and is a natural leader.

  2. What the f*&k!?! Scott, please become a little more responsible, at least from a journalistic perspective. Please!!!

  3. Sure, you should expect a hard-hitting fact-finding expose from a film created by a guy currently on the SoCal payroll.

And if you believe that, let me tell you how I hurt my ankle saving my nephew from drowning.
