3 USC Recruits Sign Financial Papers

USC announced this morning that linebacker Daelin Hayes, safety C.J. Pollard and offensive Nathan Smith signed financial-aid agreements that would allow them to enroll in January.

Unlike a letter of intent, financial-aid paperwork is not binding for the recruit but is binding for the university.

  1. Good job Sark and Co! Now just fire Will Ferrell, and go back to the 4-3 alignment, and we bill be rocking!
There are a lot of games left, which will allow time for these incredible current freshmen and sophomores on D to get better – I think we will be beating the farm in the Pac12 title game, and all will be well. The sky is NOT falling at SC – Just my two cents

  2. Whoa there big guy!
    What makes Nathan Smith offensive?
    Was it something he said?
Did he disrespect one of your soccer shirts?
    Halitosis?
    BO in general?
Did he pass gas in church?

    Inquiring minds want to know.
    Fight TF On!

BTW, I thought that it was only cheese that binds.

  3. These kids can still play wherever they wish, but it’s a good sign they are all in. Daelin Hayes looks like he’s a Trojan for sure. He recently started taking interest in Notre Dame which was probably nothing, injured his shoulder, but seems to be all set on USC. I was never worried that Hayes would become an Irish. Congratulations to Hayes, CJ Pollard, and Nathan Smith (go Inland Empire).

  4. Sark deserves a lot of credit for improving the recruiting efforts at USC. Its been a difficult few years due to the NCAA making an example out of us. But now we look forward, stop the illegal activity, and build from a great start to the season. Stanford was a bump in the road. Lets start at 7-5 and start moving up.

      • Great Point. Hackett was an amazing coach too. That I will agree with you, but we all need to give Sark the time he needs.

          • You’re so cute. Yes Brokeback Mountain was a great movie and Heath should have won an Academy Award for his heart wrenching performance but thats besides the point.

          • You warm my heart sas. My partner loves it. I find myself having a tough time getting through it. Too many rough memories. I’m sure you can relate. I knew you would come around one day. Now the next step is being honest with yourself. Its OK we’re here for you.Unlike close minded Fred.

          • My life partner and I started as friends too. Sorry I didnt know how close you too were. My apologies to you and your “Friend. ” I see now why Fred is so angry with so much to hide. Poor guy needs to get out more often and experience life. Take him to a nice dinner why don’t you. Spend a few bucks on the man, he looks like he could use the attention.

          • You sure love to throw that life partner thing around a lot. Be sure the doll doesn’t pop on you. Keep it away from sharp or pointy objects. That’s the only advice I can give you. My girlfriend is a real bugger sometimes, but she’s a great mom and great girlfriend. The only one who I’ll spend a few bucks on How does it work with a plastic companion. You know what never mind. You’re a smart guy and I’m sure you make the relationship work.
As for Fred Sampson, he’s got his opinions and I’ve got mind. Trojan fans don’t always agree, but I respect his thoughts and he’s a smart man. We probably don’t agree on everything, but he has real insight on the stuff we all talk about and he’s just an honest fan who’s passionate about USC like the rest of us.

      • Sas,
I am glad that you agree with me that Paul was a good coach. Unfortunately our players at the time were not smart enough to grasp the playbook. We did a lot better when Pete came in and started breaking rules and dumbing down the playbook. I guess you and I got off on the wrong foot but I have been wrong before. I hope you change your mind on Sark because I think he will grow into a great coach as well. He just needs a few more years until he is on a level playing field. FIGHT ON!

  5. Steve Sarkisian will never be unemployed , because he’s a fantastic recruiter, and there are several schools in the mountain west conference that can use a recruiting coordinator. And if he’s lucky, maybe one of those head coaches will give him a figure head title, such as “Co-Head Coach” or “Run or Passing game Coordinator”. You know, kinda like what he and Lane Kiffin did to Clay Helton.
