Steve Sarkisian Compares Adoree Jackson To . . .

Steve Sarkisian on Adoree Jackson today: “There’s about one guy I can compare him to, and I’m not allowed to say his name around here.”

Earlier in the year, however, Sarkisian made a Reggie Bush reference when talking about freshman tailback Dominic Davis. And then there was the famous Lane Kiffin comparison of Dillon Baxter to Reggie Bush. Perhaps it would be better, though, if Bush’s name were not mentioned.

  1. It was a JOKE, Wolf – everybody knows Reggie will lead the team out of the tunnel one game soon, and the crystal and Heisman will be returned to their rightful place in Heritage Hall – most true Trojans will be happy, and everybody else can do whatever they got to do to complain and cry about it.

    • True… eventually Reggie will be welcomed back and it might be sooner than later if the lawsuit against the NCAA by Todd McNair winds up as most people think it will. You have to admit Reggie was unreal in talent. Everytime he had the ball in his hands, the opposing coaches held their breath.

      • Mr. Yolo and Mr. Keeling, I don’t think Coach McNair’s suit has anything to do with Bush or his parents guilt. Is there any doubt that they broke NCAA rules? Why would the NCAA, Heisman committee, or BCS (long gone) return anything to USC/Bush? They played (Bush) an ineligible player, knowingly or not. With the apparent bias toward USC, the severity of the sanctions could be adjusted, but it is almost too late. USC could sue for $$$.

        • WHO broke the rules? In order for the NCAA to justify the harsh sanctions and the vacating of Wins and Championships, they needed to show that USC had institutional knowledge of what was going on, in comes Todd McNair, who was falsely accused (and that’s that) It’s not too late get the W’s, the Heisman, the Crystal, and lots of money – and that’s where we are heading.

    • I don’t believe the Heisman trophy will ever be returned, and I don’t believe Reggie Bush will ever lead the team out of the tunnel

That said, bad memories fade, and I think Bush will someday be welcomed back to the campus. It has been 10-years, and it might take another 10 years for the memories to weaken and the scars to mend.

He, Matt Leinart and Lendale White did bring SC 2 national championships, almost a third in the 2005 season, and what was it, a 34 game winning streak. Those were the days, my friend, although I knew they would someday end.

  2. What Sark is comparing Adoree to is that guys playing ability. With all that has been taken away from him, he was still incredible on the field. Even the trolls can’t argue that.

  3. And here I thought it was supposed to be O.J. Simpson or maybe even Mike Garrett. They also knew flashy moves. Oh well I can still Reggie Bush without fear of the NCAA

  4. More like De’Anthony Thomas than any Trojan, IMO. Should stick to offense and returns. While he is a great cover corner, he doesn’t like to tackle.
