Steve Sarkisian on Adoree Jackson today: “There’s about one guy I can compare him to, and I’m not allowed to say his name around here.”
Earlier in the year, however, Sarkisian made a Reggie Bush reference when talking about freshman tailback Dominic Davis. And then there was the famous Lane Kiffin comparison of Dillon Baxter to Reggie Bush. Perhaps it would be better, though, if Bush’s name were not mentioned.
It was a JOKE, Wolf – everybody knows Reggie will lead the team out of the tunnel one game soon, and the crystal and Heisman will be returned to their rightful place in Heritage Hall – most true Trojans will be happy, and everybody else can do whatever they got to do to complain and cry about it.
True… eventually Reggie will be welcomed back and it might be sooner than later if the lawsuit against the NCAA by Todd McNair winds up as most people think it will. You have to admit Reggie was unreal in talent. Everytime he had the ball in his hands, the opposing coaches held their breath.
And now Adoree’
Mr. Yolo and Mr. Keeling, I don’t think Coach McNair’s suit has anything to do with Bush or his parents guilt. Is there any doubt that they broke NCAA rules? Why would the NCAA, Heisman committee, or BCS (long gone) return anything to USC/Bush? They played (Bush) an ineligible player, knowingly or not. With the apparent bias toward USC, the severity of the sanctions could be adjusted, but it is almost too late. USC could sue for $$$.
WHO broke the rules? In order for the NCAA to justify the harsh sanctions and the vacating of Wins and Championships, they needed to show that USC had institutional knowledge of what was going on, in comes Todd McNair, who was falsely accused (and that’s that) It’s not too late get the W’s, the Heisman, the Crystal, and lots of money – and that’s where we are heading.
I don’t believe the Heisman trophy will ever be returned, and I don’t believe Reggie Bush will ever lead the team out of the tunnel
That said, bad memories fade, and I think Bush will someday be welcomed back to the campus. It has been 10-years, and it might take another 10 years for the memories to weaken and the scars to mend.
He, Matt Leinart and Lendale White did bring SC 2 national championships, almost a third in the 2005 season, and what was it, a 34 game winning streak. Those were the days, my friend, although I knew they would someday end.
Adoree is a product of Sarks coaching. Give the man an extension. FIGHT ON!
How much do you want to bet your Ruins get beat by the SunQueers this weekend?
I am a loyal Trojan fan, you must have me confused with trolls like Sas, Fred Samson, rah rah etc. Although I have never understood why our mascot Tommy Trojan wears a skirt. Can you explain? FIGHT ON, brother!
Wow. You must really hate me. I apologized to you, but yet I’m still a troll.
Don’t apologize to him – he is a waste of time
But he’s a “LOYAL” fan.
YoYo walks the dog.
I hate nobody. This is an internet blog. Hopefully nobody on here is that serious.
I don’t think I would take that bet, but the line of 12 or so points is probably “out-of-line.”
Slow day today Wolf.. WHO THE HECK CARES! if he compares to the unnamed legend!
Hair extensions maybe.
HAWR-HAWR!!!
Southern cal has two big football stars I. Their history, but there names are necessarily IGNORED by alums…for ONE REASON or ANOTHER!!!
#ClownCollege
Gary Beban is considered the “worst player to win a Heisman” – consider that, and then factor in how long ago that was, then you know where your Ruin program stands – and it’s right below the waistline of Trojans – ya right there baby!
Well, Gary is welcome on our campus ANYTIME!!!
How ’bout Reggie and OJ???
#DisgracedDummies
Who cares if he is welcome on campus???Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, would have any idea who he even is!!!
Reggie’s be hurt, he pulled his medulla, so he can’t travel and OJ is locked up in Nevada. .
Something’s wrong with HIS medulla oblongata!!
#ColSanders
Is Freddy Mitchell doing awwwirght? Is he still locked up.
Bucket, the problem is Beban doesn’t want to come.
Worse than Gino Torretta?….Wow….
I would not say that. He actually had the 1967 SC game won, but his field goal kicker blew it for him. He also beat No. 1 Michigan State in 1966, and had the semi-miracle game in 1965 over SC.
He could also run the rock. For his day, he was something else.
No, I dont think you understand, he is identified as the player least deserving of the award – period
By whom was Beban considered “worst player to win a Heisman”?
HARDY HAR HAR – Whereas UGLY football is one giant cricket.
Bush! we’ve got Bush!
If you can answer what movie that was from I will leave this site for one working day?
I don’t want to see you go for the day, but I can picture the scene…hmmm, let me think… Revenge of the Nerds!!!
Yeah!
Thai Mex- “Call me Booger!”
You forgot Thai, Trogan and Ted doing either the YMCA or the Macarena.
Only in the sense that neither player blocks or tackles.
ESPN’s Todd McShay projects Sua Cravens to go 27th in the 1st Round of the NFL Draft.
What Sark is comparing Adoree to is that guys playing ability. With all that has been taken away from him, he was still incredible on the field. Even the trolls can’t argue that.
And here I thought it was supposed to be O.J. Simpson or maybe even Mike Garrett. They also knew flashy moves. Oh well I can still Reggie Bush without fear of the NCAA
More like De’Anthony Thomas than any Trojan, IMO. Should stick to offense and returns. While he is a great cover corner, he doesn’t like to tackle.
and the correct answer is…….FARINA!!!!!!
