DARNOLD.2Here’s some comments from true freshmen linebacker Osa Masina and quarterback Sam Darnold, who got first-team reps yesterday in practice. Darnold said this about UCLA QB Josh Rosen: Watching Rosen play, it’s pretty amazing what he can do.”

  1. As a loyal Trojan it pains to me say that we are clearly the number 2 program in LA. That is fine with me because at least we are finally not cheating. It is awesome to finally see our Trojans make bowl games without cheating. FIGHT ON!

  2. Scott apparently has a new teenage dream crush in Josh Rosen…. Give Scott a break though… He needs someone to fawn over

  3. The success of Josh Rosen as a true freshmen at UCLA, will prevent USC from stockpiling so many top rated quarterbacks.

    • Exactly Frederico! and with the success of Brett Hundley bolting early to the NFL to get PAID!! he might just be 1 and done LOL!!

        • I’m aware of that.. I just wanted to use some of your logic, the “success” of Rosen is in 4 games! you act as if he’s done something yet.
Lets just wait and see before you start making a correlation between his “success” and how it will impact USC’s ability to do anything

    • Actually, just the opposite Fred. UCLA will not be able to recruit good QBs for a couple years because they know they won’t play until after Rosen leaves. It puts UCLA in a dangerous position should Rosen get injured.

  4. We’ll be fine. One thing USC and even with Sark as coach will have is a QB. People tend to forget that Rosen wanted to go to Stanford first, but he never got the offer. That’s a mistake Shaw will most likely regret. And if Harbaugh was at Michigan this time last year many people have said Rosen would’ve played at Michigan. And Rosen and Mora’s family are close. Darnold will bring an element to the QB spot that SC has never had. Besides having a really good arm he will hurt you with his legs. I’m not talking 5 yard scrambles. He can break off 50 yarders. And SC is the heavy leader for 2017 QB Tua Tagovailoa. Been compared to Marcus Mariotta, from the same High school even. Already ranked as the highest player ever from Hawaii. Rosen’s success should definitely help lure QBs to Westwood, but we’ll be more than fine.

    • Did you forget Rodney Peete who in 1987 ran for a td that beat heavily favored SUCLA, and then beat Aikman and SUCLA in 1988 with his arm after being so sick people did not think he would be able to play?

      • I was a kid. Rodney Peete playing for SC against the Bruins is probably my first clear memory as a USC fan. We’ll be fine at QB. As long as Reggie Perry isn’t thrown to the wolves again we’ll be fine.
