  1. I think they call that the Hurry Up Offense.

USC offense is ranked #8 nationally in points/game and 10th in total yards.

      • You should know about cupcake wins. Ain’t happening this year, we are back to a semblance of full strength.

      • Thug u aka renter, the rent is due today. Pay. As far as USC’s schedule, USC was to play Texas A & M. Texas backed out. When Holt was the coach at Idaho USC obliged to play them knowing they would go into the Stanford game the following week.

What is Thug U’s excuse for the last 86 years of spending tax payers dollars on such a pathetic losing school and football team? I am tired of my tax payer dollars going to school that support drug pushers, arsonists, and murders. Close that dump called Thug U.

    • USC 183-70 opposition
Bottom line is we lost a game.
My hope we play Stanford again….. For PAC 12 Title.

      I’m sure if that happens
Our stats for T.O.P will be similar.

  2. This is why I question the offensive strategy of Sark, especially last year. When USC had depth issues, especially on the defensive line, then why would you want to speed the game up. Why not slow it down so that your d-lineman are not playing 70-80 snaps a game? This offensive philosophy was the main reason that there were some defensive collapses at the end of games last year. I still don’t think USC is where they need to be as far as defensive line depth, so there is no need to be in a hurry.

    • I think it’s partially just to get things “up to speed” in terms of the era – recruits like shiny helmets and fast action

    • Good point. You have to realize that the building of a program takes several seasons, now that we have a high speed offensive system, it should get faster as USC recruits players to fit.

      • Steve, how many NCAA National Championships have Hurry-Up Offenses won ”
        Can you name “1” ???

        • Perhaps you should advise all the head coaches that run it. Sounds like you know more than they do. It is exciting football, fun to watch and a challenge to defend.

          • One of the unfortunate byproducts of this is that it is changing the NFL with regard to the quality and skill set of the players being provided them…..especially, the QB’s and the OL….most of the OL in college are used to dropping back and going side to side…..going head on with a D-lineman and pushing them back is not that common, strange as it may sound….. but it is an excited brand of football to watch….

  3. Perfect example of USC’s inability to run the ball, and when half of your games are against teams with zero depth , who really cares about the numbers they run up ? SC Sarkisian RAH RAH fans , get excited over irrelevant things that mean absolutely nothing regarding their play. Judge the Trojans against their next four opponents, because those games will truly give you an indication of what you have . Playing cream puffs is like playing against air. …lol

    • Lol Frederico!! What we have is our team for this season. I know you want to discount 3 turnovers as “lucky” unforced errors right? I’ll chalk it up to opportunistic defense. Was BYU just lucky when they intercepted your pride and joy Josh Rosens 3 times in the first half? Certainly BYU is no cream puff right? Michigan 31 BYU 0 LoL with long time fans like you who needs Trolls?? You are like a broken record blah blah blah Sarkisian blah blah blah

    • Earth to Fred – SC hadn’t beat the SunQueers in three of the past four meetings prior to this game, and ASU was chosen by some to be in the final four – they are creampuffs?

    • USC’s offense is built to score fast and often. When you score in 30 seconds and the other team takes 5 minutes, the stats will show that. The problem with the USC offense is that it needs to learn how to sustain long drives and chew up the clock by running the ball. Usc needs 8 to 10 minute drives sometimes because the defense needs a breather. O line can’t do this though.

  4. Useless stat of the day. Sark’s offensive philosophy, just like voting in Chicago, score early and often.

    • With all due respect, this stat had a significant impact on us in the Stanford game (40 minutes for Stanford and 20 minutes for USC), especially in the second half when they ran the ball down our throats and converted on critical third downs……….

      • Yes.very poor third down conversion.. Stanford controlled the lines…. I would love a rematch. If that were to happen it would tell a lot how both teams seasons developed.

        • Exactly…. Cameron Smith had a horrible game against Stanford and many of our other freshman, including Iman Marshall, got schooled by the Cardinal….development of the team, especially the OL, DL and the freshmen, will be key, should we be lucky enough to have a rematch with Stanford…..and a heavy dose of Adoree Jackson on offense would almost be a guarantee…..

          • I believe the freshman (9+) of them took important steps forward last week…especially the defensive side….

  5. “HURRY-UP-OFFENSES “ALWAYS” = EXHAUSTED 2nd HALF DEFENSE” !

That means “Hurry-Up” at all costs, meaning that whether it means losing or not, keep “Hurry-Up” ?

    And that is “STUPID” !!

Doesn’t “Winning” come first and foremost ???

And it doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to figure it out !!!

    • Exhausted 2nd half defense for who? The team with the hurry up or the opponent? If you can wear down the defense in the 1st half, you can have your way with them in the 2nd. Having a big lead at half time will demoralize the opponent in college football.

      • Golden, I am speaking of the Trojan Defense !

When the USC Defense is on the field on average 2/3rds of the game then that leads to exhaustion !

Which Pac12 Offense has been on the field the least of time through 4 games ?

        The USC Trojans !

Which Pac12 Defense has become on the field the most time through 4 games ?

        The USC Trojans !!

Considering last season and this season, when have roughly 75% of USC opponents scored their points ?

        The second half !

And that is because the Defense is tired (Out of gas) from always being on the field…

        FightOn

  6. 59:59 total minutes of possession by SC and its opponents. 4 games have been played at 60 minutes each equals 4 hours or 240 minutes. Who had possession of the ball during the remaining 3:00:01?
