Steve Sarkisian faces his former team Thursday night at the Coliseum. Everyone knows that. But this will also be the first chance for Los Angeles-native Jaydon Mickens to play at the Coliseum.
Mickens was committed to USC for a year before he switched to Washington. Or got dropped by Lane Kiffin, which was speculated at the time.
“Some things happened with myself and Lane Kiffin,” Mickens told the Seattle Times this week, without elaborating.
And we are STILL left to speculate….
My favorite part of Saturday’s games was when the sideline chick for cbs reported how Alabama was so innovative and the first team she’d ever seen using oxygen on the sideline.
She is probably too young to remember when teams routinely had O2 on the side lines. Though it is physiologically of no benefit. If your O2 sat. is 100%, breathing pure oxygen does nothing more.
Sark and his ties to being the Washington coach won’t play a role in the game Thursday. SC is gonna take care of business. Peterson should’ve taken the UCLA job when he had the chance. We’re gonna win big.
Sark should know the players, their tendencies and weaknesses to exploit. Let’s not get over confident. That’s how Stanford happened. SC needs to bring its A game to every game. There are no more cupcakes.
Colorado is pretty close, although they have been steadily improving over the last few years…
I here ya. I’m confident, but certainly not over confident. We haven’t done anything for me to start thinking that way.
I hope they show the D more video of how past Trojan greats took away the ball, that worked out terrific last game!
Just pop a tape in with Matt Grootegoed and Troy Polamalu. They were always causing turnovers or coming up with the football.
Jayden Mickens had nothing but good things to say about Sark. Saying he was a father figure type coach, that he was comfortable signing with Sark, and that he respected Sark to move on and Coach at USC.
Hell oTrojon fans I just wanted to share my thoughts on the game and why I think our dawgs will run away from this one.
1. Jake “COBRA” Browning – He is the best player on the field, enough said on that. He has four years of starting in high shcool and four college games under his belt and he will do everything possible to win the game.
2. Offensive Line – We average a weight of 332 lbs across the line, they are ready to dominate the line of scrimmage. Dexter Charl, Brostek, Vita Virta, A. Guy, Corky Shelton, Ossai, Ike Tafunga, Jimmy, etc. These boys have the attitude and are ready to rumble.
3. Kwitkawasaki – New Defensive Scheme and a new attitude. Every player has spoke out about the difference between the guy before and this guy, we will see a much improved defense on the day of the game.
4. Speed, Speed, Speed – This is the fastest our team has been in a long time. Doeontae Cooper, Johnson, Labron Coleman, a dude we call Honey Beaver, Cooper, Charlie McClutchins, John Ross III, etc. The newbies will be inexperienced but will bring something that we haven’t had in past seasons, which is speed.
5. Time of Possession – I think we can dominate the time of possession stat. The more we can shorten the game and keep our offense off of the field, the better chance we have to win the game.
I think Udub wins rather easily… say 34-17?
We aré talking UW, right? It sounds like you aré talking about FSU, Florida, or UCLA( at the beginning of the season at least).
Yo I hear ya but these dawgz have bite! Cobra can really rip it an ya he got a bad game against them Kal bears but he bounce back aight
Them Dawgs bit. I eta my words.
Can’t wait to celebrate U-Dub’s victory.
If Washington is all of that, then what happened against Boise State ?
I have to agree: the Huskies will, as you say, run away *from* this one.
