Who Remembers This Play?

USC gets to the 3-yard line in the first quarter and then inexplicably gets an illegal substitution penalty. That puts the ball at the 8-yard line. Cody Kessler gets a sack and the Trojans settled for a field goal. Those are the type of plays that change games.

  1. the game was just last night.. We all remember.. We all know USC needs a new coach.. Blah, blah, blah.. we know!
Instead of beating a dead bush.. Try suggesting possible changes..
    GEES! Drama queen Wolf!

      • Easy to say, but then what? Who do you hire? Has to be a plan instead of “fire Haden and Sark”

        • 1) Sark “resigns” over the weekend for “family and mental health reasons”,
2)Helton takes over sinking USC ship for rest of season,
          3) New HC is announced in early January, directly after the end of regular NFL season,
4)When recruits learn identity of new HC they flock to USC on signing day.

          • Now that the first two prongs of my formula have been put into effect, we start putting out feelers. It’s no use settling on one name at this juncture—- we won’t know who’s really available until the NFL playoff picture becomes clearer. All that’s necessary, at this point, is that we start making our interest known to the the best and brightest minds in the pro ranks. (By the way, B.Miller, I get what you’re saying about not being precipitous about this —but change was necessary and now we have to proceed with what professional fighters refer to as patient aggressiveness).

          • As long as USC hires a Head Coach with proven experience and leadership. not a young 1-3 yr head coach and no Coordinators

        • Put Helton in charge and hire a search team to find the next head coach, a search team that IS NOT affiliated to USC in any way.

    • Beating a dead bush?…..You must have been reading about the recent arrest of the UCLA punter….

  2. USC had a hard time getting lined up correctly the entire night. Once again their offense was more worried about being cute than just lining up and getting after someone. The times when they went into a two back offense they ran the ball down UWs throat.

    • Yes, and then he had Jones running all over the place and he puts Madden back in, just stupid coaching.

    • Washington physically took it to USC, every chance they could…I wouldn’t call it cheap shots, but they made sure hit us until the whistle blew…..Kessler was a nervous wreck in the second half..he was on his back at least once every series…..Iman Marshall, Ronald Jones, Steven Mitchell, Justin Davis, Adoree Jackson, etc. all got popped really good by Husky defenders…..

  3. Or when they used their 2nd timeout in the 2nd half because they had 5 guys in the backfield.

The coaching blunders by this staff is endless.

  4. One of the kickers on the UCLA football team has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman he met at a party back in 2014 … this according to police.
Officials say 20-year-old Adam Searl was arrested on October 8th and booked on 3 counts of rape. Searl has punted for UCLA five times this season.
According to investigators, Searl met the accuser at an off-campus party in Westwood in October 2014 and accompanied her to a nearby residence.
The woman claims she fell asleep — but woke up to Searl raping her.
Officials launched an “exhaustive investigation” in conjunction with the UCLA PD — and the woman was eventually identified Searl as the assailant.
Searl was arrested without incident — and has since been released on $300,000 bail.

      • You poor misguided wretch…

Relevance is only in the eyes of the beholder. You,
obviously a newbie to this board, have yet to learn to speak Troll. It is considered rather poor form to attempt to relate to the intended thesis of a thread. You would need to go to WERSC or USC football for that. The main theme of this site is to badmouth the originator, a cross-town rival, its supporters or each other… Whichever tickles your fancy at the moment. Give it some time and you will discover that you will soon feel quite comfortable in this mindless morass.

OR, if all else fails, post on a Fruin board…God forbid.

    • man….that sure makes the embarrassing loss at home, in front of a national t.v audience a little easier to SWALLOW….
      F/O

  5. Hard to believe we can make judgments like this when Sark says we have the best coaching staff !

    • Sarks remarks today are just to cover his butt, the team must be in turmoil. We need someone that knows how to WIN.

  6. They are the type of plays that is symptomatic to what is wrong with the Trojans. OL needs good coaching. Not getting it. Defense needs good coaching and game plan. Not getting it. Game management needs a good HC. Not there. Obviously the OC is blind or stubborn. Needs to be aware of what works. Players need to quit worrying about looking good and play as a team. Oh ya, and QUIT throwing the bubble screen.

  7. Got that right! We need someone besides just a good recruiter and a PR guy. Although his PR at Salute to Troy wasnt so great!

  8. This blog has really turned into a whine-fest, led by the blogger himself. It’s loss little girlies… get over it. Did you really expect USC to win every game into the future? Do you really think the answer is to change coaches after every loss?

Stop drinking the Scottie Kool-Aid (unless you’re a troll).
