According to USC, the Trojans overcome a double-digit halftime deficit for the first time since 2005 when it beat Colorado after trailing 17-3 at halftime. By comparison, Lane Kiffin was 0-11 as a head coach when he trailed teams by seven-or-more points in the second half.
Kiffins about to win a National Championship. Joke might be on us.
You REALLY know how to ruin Scottie’s day, sas.
Saban is, not Kiff. Kiff is riding his coattails.
But if you’re going to ride coattails, Saban’s aren’t a bad way to go. On another Kiffin related note, do you guys think Kiffin will be a better HC next time around? You’d have to assume he’s learned from his experiences and grown up some. Just to clarify, I wasn’t insinuating for the USC job, but you’d have to imagine he’ll get another chance somewhere.
Kiffin had six years under Carroll, and he learned from Pete and that made him a great Raiders coach! Oh wait…..he then was a great coach at Tennessee….hmmmm…no…..He turned USC around! No again. Damn, all bad examples…..NO, I don’t think he’ll be a better coach next time around.
Why would you assume Kiffin has learned anything when he continues to fail upward thanks to his father’s connections? Why change when being a jerk has turned out so well?
I wonder who has had the better career so far…..Kiffin, Helton or Scott? Hmmmm
Scott the halftime score was 17-6. I’m concerned you might be mixing meds and alcohol with all these errors lately.
Look at what Saban has done for Kiffin.. He has never run the ball this much EVER! He needs to stay under Saban as long as he can.. soak up that knowledge
According to USC???
Glad to see you are finally mentioning your source…cuz most of us are always in the dark when you only allude to one that is out there somewhere.
Ignore GreatScottBrilliance. He is just picky, picky, picky! He obviously is unaware that your studies were in Journalism (in which we all know you is ‘Da Man’) and that you did not have time for grad study in mathematics…you know, where one is informed that “double digits” actually means in excess of one integer.
BTW, nice way to sneak in via the back door in the attempt to satiate your hidden agenda vs the Kiffester.
Please don’t mention double digits and come from behind in the same sentence. It reminds Scott of his last prostate exam.
This has my vote for “comment of the year” – great stuff!
To make things worse, wolfman’s former Dr was football great Larry “Big Hands” Johnson (Dec’d)!!
#AuuuWooo!!!!
And don’t forget, his initial exam was performed by Larry’s brother-from-another-mother, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson……and don’t ask me how Scott knew that Billy’s shoes were white!
nice…
So across town, Mora coughed up a halftime lead for the first time in 32 tries. This is about as relevant as Scott’s post.
Carson Palmer was harassed all night, but he and Arizona just put the finishing touches on Seattle and Pete Carroll.
You gotta feel sorry for Carroll, who got beat by one of his dearest pupils. But then, we must feel proud of the fact that our guys are a real force at the NFL. We are SC!!!
We are SC!
Fight On!! SAS & REAL
Fight on, Brother Rob!!!
Fight On Rob!
You mean “we used to be “SC”…but now we’re Yesterday U”
#SoTotallyYestetday
You need to concentrate on your once proud basketball program.
Chortle
You’d better watch your (Mon)mouth! …LOL
how do you spell Monmouth again….
Bucket. The definition of Yesterday U is UCLA basketball. And football is known as “Never Was University”
Maybe Pete will be the next head coach.
That should make the little gutty Bruin trolls who frequent this blog really happy. Especially after the debacle the suffered this weekend with football and basketball.
Yeah they had a bad weekend. And disappeared since then!
They didn’t play Colorado in 2005. You thinking of Arizona State? SC trailed 21 – 3 at halftime.
Comapring Helton with Kiffin is pointless, as Kiffin was a total failure for our program.
Booooo-Yeahhhhhh!!! In yo face Lane. Whatever happend to that guy anyway?
Clay Helton is going to be Pete Carroll 2000!
