USC Tweet Of The Day

One of Adams’ best friends is USC WR Steven Mitchell, who said “deep down” the tattoo could stand for USC because Adams was a Trojans fan.

  1. I’m not very well versed in these things. Is that a police helicopter over an LA skyline and besides being an area code, is 626 a gang reference?

  2. Is that on his throwing arm? That will make him throw to SC guys. Lots of INTs coming our way Saturday!?

    • Does anyone know if Little Matt Barkley still has that tattoo Anthony Barr gave him in the Rose Bowl?

      • Judging from the way he’s played ever since, yes. But it took two to administer that tattoo —Barr and Aundrey Walker. And neither is exactly covered in glory.

  3. This is proof positive that laser tattoo removal is the high income profession of the future. Dummies like this everywhere.

    • How anyone can let someone with no medical training jab them with a needle and inject ink into their body is beyond me.

  4. This afternoon on PMS Petros Papadakis picked up the topic on Clay Helton.- summation not exatc words but the gist

“If he has never been a head coach and was only an assistant when at Memphis what would make anyone to seriously consider him as a head coach for USC? Haden is untouchable as the AD. He has blown the past three head coaches – Kiffin sacked, Orgeron quits and Sarkisian hired and sacked. Enfield has had two awful year and who knows what this one will be like. Basball? Sanchez was violating NCAA rules right and left and let go with cause and the new guy did pretty good. But let’s be honest I travel around the country and I can tell you most coaches and programs think the USC athletic department is toxic. No one is going to go there that is top knotch with Haden at the controls.”

Very telling and blunt by Papadakis succinctly Helton is the safe pick for Haden if USC wins out and that it is a bad pick.

    • Fuel to the case that Haden needs to go and new leadership is need in the Athletic Dept.

      • Papadakis included Enfield in his dismissive commentary – I suspect there shall be and is a sea change emerging at Galen i.e. no more announcing gigs for him at Galen.

  5. The kid clearly got it because he was a fan of USC. He’s said he tries to emulate Reggie Bush’s running style. Who has ever seen that emblem used when not in reference to USC?

  6. I am an old timer but I truly don’t understand covering your body with ink. Maybe something small and discrete? Some of the work is not very good. Why have something permanently inked on your body forever that is marginal art at best. Glad I will never have the crap on my body.

  7. This USC-Oregon game will be the 10th consecutive meeting where both teams are ranked in the top 25. That’s what a rivalries are supposed to look like!

  8. I think Vernon Adams should be playing at Eastern Washington or sitting out a year to play at Oregon. Division 1 football teams should not be a minor league for major college football. When Adams came out of high school Oregon was not even interested in him. Eastern Washington took a chance on him and spent 3 years developing his skills and then when he’s ready to give them his best year Oregon loses their star and decides “let’s go down to EWU and steal their QB” and now EWU has to defend the very guy that they invested their time and effort to develope in their first game of the year. If you have graduated and you are going from a major college to another major college, that’s another story. It’s doesn’t say much for Vernon Adams. Where’s your loyalty?

  9. Vernon Adoms’ major at Oregon

    Interdisciplinary Studies: Individualized Program

    General Information

The Interdisciplinary Studies: Individualized Program (IS:IP) at the University of Oregon is a flexible, but academically rigorous master’s degree program. Working within the established guidelines of the program, students plan a course of study specifically designed to explore their interests and work with a faculty committee to pursue and complete their program. The success of the program relies heavily upon the individual initiative and self-discipline of each student and the commitment of the student’s master’s committee.

Sounds like a lot of BS for an excuse to get an athlete.

  10. That’s USC. Ask South Carolina, the court told them that was the University of Southern California.
