That score is crazy. I think it’s gonna be more like 28-27. Decided on a failed 2 point conversion from the Trojans with no time left.
There’s no accounting for optimism.
One of the main things UGLY has done in the last three losses to them was to copy the strategy from the 9-13 loss. They’ve blitzed and disrupted Barkley and Kessler. So that excerpt from the Gold Sheet is a stat that scares me. Mora has had them ready each game while the SC coaches continued with hair brain offensive schemes.
How do you blitz with a four (4) man rush? “They didn’t do anything special, it was a four man rush” – Coach Harvey Hyde
Well, according to The Capper, if you rush more than 3 or 4, it is unsportsmanlike. At USC we have made a commitment to winning the right way.
Another thing UCLA has done in the last three years is beat SoCal by double digits.
Yes they did. Not trying to make excuses, but since Pete’s last year and since then, SC has been one of the worst coached teams. Its been ridiculous.
Well, Xavier is beating SC, so look for Scotty to get back on Andy.
Shocking, but even a helium balloon succumbs to gravity.
Monmouth proved that to the UCLA after all the Bruins were on here bragging about their #4 recruiting class. So yeah, I agree with you Owns,
The ruins will lose twice to SC this year, they are just in a holding pattern until the blue chip one and doners show up next year.
I’m not overconfident at all, but I think SC could beat the Bruins twice this year also.
Like the WE OWN LA balloon UCLA (and YOU) have? hahaha
yeah maybe USC hoops fans can bump up the average attendance this year at home to over 3,000 fans….of a 10,000-seat arena…
Or get FREE tickets to Pauley
Interesting data. I have us at 29 sacks, with a delta of +4 (bad guys sacked 33 times) but who is going to quibble? What is interesting is that the Bruins have allowed only 11 sacks. Pretty impressive… scary actually, especially when combined with Mr. Wilcox’s penchant for giving carte blanche to enemy QBs.
I honestly don’t expect SC to win. QB? Rosen will pick SC a part, Kessler won’t have any time. Perkins will run wild. RoJo will be on the bench. SC secondary will wake up at the start of the 4th quarter. Mora is a stronger coach than Helton. Hate to say it, UCLA 38 SC 27.
Mora and Helton won’t be on the field.
It’s the players, man, the players
I bet there will be blitzing packages for Rosen, negating his success. But like Billy Jean I too am worried about Perkins, who has hurt SC badly in past games.
The gut says SUCLA, but the heart and spirit say it is good ol’ SC.
P.S. Interesting how the ‘Vegas line of 3 1/2 points SC has not changed all week. Do they know something we don’t?
Walnut,
Yes, they know a lot you don’t.
They know they can sucker a ton of Troyjans into thinking SoCal will win and making silly bets.
I was very impressed with the QB from Navy. Hope he moves up in the Heisman vote, he carries the team.
I am not sure USC can win the game, but it surely is not because westwood is better. Anyone and everyone knows they are not, but USC has not been taught well at all, especially in the area of knowing how to win. Last person to teach that was Pete.
Les Miles has just pretty much made it official that he’s out at LSU. Maybe The Capper can step away from his whiskey sour and give Miles’s agent a call. For some reason I really think that The Capper has his heart set on Kingsbury from Texas Tech.
Pick the final score…phooey!
However it is beyond me how anyone could not take the Fruins and the points. That is…unless one doesn’t believe in the message embedded in the play ‘Kean’…
Le grisby is le evil in le root of le man.
First time ever that I have been strongly tempted to actually put down a bet on an SC-UCLA FB game.
If Helen picks the ruins, we will win. She hates Petersen and his Huskies just routed WSU and are bowl bound with a team of freshmen and sophomores. Good thing we hired Sark instead of Petersen, right Helen?
I’ll drink to that…
I always bet based on what the Gooooold sheeeeet predicts. BTW, e-mail me if I can suck you for 50 cents. Satio!
Another banner day for the Gold Sheet!
