While I want my guys to humiliate bRuins today, I actually think even a loss in this game will have a silver lining that we could finally bring in a proper coaching staff we’ve been longing for. To be real honest, I’m really confused and even torn if I should be happy about a win or a loss in this game. It may sound weird, but that’s how I really feel right now.
I don’t believe Helton will be offered the job. Good guy, but not what this team needs. I’m pulling for a Trojan win, but I see trouble for them.
I hope you’re right, because like I said, I’d like to see a new coaching staff. But what if Helton wins all possible three remaining games? Yes, I think it’s a long shot, too, but there’s got to be some pressure for Haden not to hire him if that happens.
There will be pressure for sure, but I believe Haden is on board for a new PROVEN regime to take over. His parting gift.
Poor Powderhaus, he be “really confused.”
Confusion comes and goes, but a severe case of psychosis usually doesn’t.
So your reality is permanently disorientated? Absolutely no surprise to me. Actually, not a bad self diagnosis, the shoe fits you snugly Powderhaus. Adverb on.
Are you so off that you don’t even comprehend to whom my statement was directed? Well, I guess I’ve underestimated the severity of your case. My bad. lol.
“Over, under, sideways, down,” eh Powderboy.
Yardbirds!
Correct for $100.00. An outstanding tune.
My fav – “Little Games”
The ‘Birds, for me, were a top five 60’s band. Their stuff was blue and gritty. Just right for the 60’s head parties.
‘Them’ as well but yes Keith Relf was a ‘presence’ but for me it was and is ‘The Kinks’!
I first heard Celluloid Heroes in the back of what was called a panel truck. We’d just finish a dube when Heroes started up on the radio. I refused to leave until the song was over.
That tune still reverberates through my brain. “Everybody a dreamer, everybody’s star……on Hollywood Blvd……”
I bought 6 copies of ‘Lola Vs. The Powerman…” back in 1970 and sent them out to buds back east that I went to school with 1st year in South Carolina. I swear i was the first ‘yankee’ that hit that town since reconstruction anyway a great group and a great album- saw them at The Palladium in 1972…Stones too come to think of it before they went to the Forum two nights later 1972.
Owns when you don;t act like a psycho chicken and I dial back my patented sarcasm things work – great game right now at the Coliseum UCLA 21 USC 20.
You’re gonna f’g lose today, and that’s all that matters, POC! roflmao!
SUCLA lost Everything in LA, SUCLA CS!!!
ROTFLMAO!!!
SUCC ON!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last weeks loss sealed Helton and most of his staffs fate. The searched behind the scene heated up dramatically last week.Les Miles has suddenly appeared as a major candidate. With Miles comments yesterday it appears he will be available..
For the 13 Seniors who have lost to UCLA, and put up with all the crazy, I hope they finish with a big win.Helton, a good man and loyal Trojan is looking for a new Job Sunday.
Miles is a great hire. He’s old and is about to get fired. I’m sure he’ll bring a new energy to USC!
You Bruins are in trouble going forward. Either Clay Helton or Dave Wannstedt will be owning you going forward.
Yeah be even better for UCLA
Not saying Miles is the right guy. But interesting that all but a very very few people think that letting Les Miles go is a smart move. This move reeks of over reacting to non football people–i.e. Boosters and talk show trolls. 78% winning record in SEC is no easy feat. For all of the success LSU has had , Miles is either their 1st or 2nd most successful coaches. And he will not be easily replaced. And if he wants to continue coaching he will be out of work about 20 minutes
True but he can’t beat AL and Lou Saban and in the minds of the LSU fans that renders his value middling at best. It’s why a lot of good coaches get sacked – they can’t beat the rival that matters.
Nick Saban. Lou is not with us any more.
Ahhh you’re right!
If Helton KEEPS mixing in plenty of runs [no matter how little success we’re having in the first quarter], if Wilcox KEEPS bringing serious heat on Rosen [no matter how little success we’re having in the first quarter], and if we KEEP trying to connect with Juju and Mitchell on the long ball [no matter how little success we’re having in the first quarter], USC will WIN. If we stick with the plan and cut the penalties in half, we should all go home very happy, Peter.
Wouldn’t going home happy be great?Michael for me this is first game in some time I haven’t thought about what we have to do except Win.
Hold that thought, Peter!
Way to manage expectations, Power!
You’ve got your head straight now.
By the way, what’s your USC dirt doing in our UCLA hole, boy? Start digging.
We really can’t lose today. If we win, Clay has the job locked up. If we lose, Wannstedt is a lock for the job. Either way we will be bowling every year.
Wannstedt has to big of a moustache. Haden won’t hire him. Actually he is NOT the right guy. Gruden or John Harbaugh are.
The line to get into the coliseum stretches around the whole length of the stadium grounds. SMH.
For USC to still be in the Pac 12 race is a perfect example of how weak the conference is. And if a win over UCLA is the measuring stick for Clay Helton to get the job permanently, then hand me the Bruin blue pom poms, and stay out of my way. So I predict a double digit loss for the Trojans , just because of the coaching.
I agree with you, and I’m afraid you’re right, Fred.
It is I a sad state, of SC football, when we are discussing maybe beating ucla after 3 years of losing and this after years of top 10 recruit classes and coach firings…something is rotten at the top…not athletes…the top…4th loss seems eminent…weeks and weeks of practices in shorts does not build a dominant powerhouse. WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
Good luck to all the fine gentlemen on the field today. And to the Trogans too, I guess.
I am sitting with Sally and several other Trojans having a little breakfast in a beautiful celebrity home she rented for the four day holiday. Thanksgiving dinner was very special with lots and lots of Trojans stopping by to enjoy the great meal and talk football..I haven’t seen many Trojan fans on this, or any other, thread. Just the usual collection of trolls with empty holsters. Those fans who have shown up are going to be very, very surprised at the outcome of today’s game. It’s not going to be the loss you seem to be fearing. According to all those who have stopped by the house in the past couple of days, the team and coaching staff are going into the game with a very confident mindset. Many of them have inside access to those who will be actually participating in the game. We danced the night away here last night rather than clubbing. I have the greatest pair of game-day shoes ever that I have saved for this game. Gotta go put ’em on now and get dressed for the tailgate, leaving here in less than an hour. I’ll be back after we win to see what kind of reaction you have. I know you’re going to be happier than a child sitting on Santa’s lap.
Dude, did you play with Barbie Dolls in Jr. High?
Please keep us updated.
I saw the headline and knew the trolls couldn’t get on here fast enough. Looks like full force. So sad.
I hope this USC team decides that this one is for them, not for Helton or any other coach. This one will decide what they are finally made of and the caliber of people they really are. They need to leave it ALL out there on the field. FIGHT ON!!
Steven– I hope the team rises up and plays their best game of the year. But I don’t think they need to show what the are made of. Considering the crap the “adults” in charge have inflicted on them, I think they have proven themselves to be fighters and competitors

The radio analyst for MI was asked the difference between this years team and last years team. He said the team committed to getting better every day, coaches focused on technique & disciplined play, and they brought an edge & physicality to the field everyday. Does anyone know a team that could benefit from that kind of approach.?
Will USC rush 4 and sometimes 5, or will they stick to the pathetic 3 man rush which is Wilcox’s favorite and doesn’t’ work? Will Kessler take 6 sacks? Will the O-line and Biggie Marshall commit 12 penalties all by themselves? Can a staff of lifetime assistant coaches who can’t motivate their team beat an NFL caliber coaching staff? Too many questions. The only answer is the all things point to a ucla victory…as sick as that makes me feel.
SCOREBOARD BABY
SUCLA IS DONE RENTING L.A. YOU HAVE BEEN EVICTED, THE LANDLORD IS BACK!! 40-21 GOODNIGHT, SLEEP WELL BUCKET. HAWR HAWR
