Q: Fight On Forever!!
With so much recruiting competition from the PAC 12, and now with so many non Pac 12 programs poaching highly ranked California kids (Alabama: Blake Barnett, top 2016 OL in CA, top 2017 RB in CA. Oklahoma: recruits Central California very well, and now Michigan with Harbaugh going after many of USC’s targets) do you think Helton and this staff have the recruiting skills to keep signing Top 10 classes at USC?

ANSWER: My answer is this: USC recruits USC. It doesn’t matter who the coach is in terms of a good recruiting class. Now that class might be No. 1 with some coaches but the fact is even Paul Hackett signed some good players. Why? Because USC offers a unique combination of tradition, location, attention, etc.

Helton does not come across as a dynamic personality, which he admitted in his press conference. But neither did Lane Kiffin. This year’s class might suffer, mainly because of the delays in hiring coaches. I don’t think in the big picture, recruiting will be a problem.

Q: Hey Phrasing
How do you think Kenechi Udeze will do as a D-line coach and as a recruiter?
Q: npc
So I never really saw an “official” announcement that BKU was the D-Line Coach. Did we miss on somebody and he was the awkward fallback?

ANSWER: USC has not made an official announcement. I’ve heard he will be the coach but you never can predict when USC makes these announcments. They were real quick to announce Tommie Robinson. It just might be that Udeze has not signed a contract yet because he was recruiting.

How will he do as a recruiter? I think fine because he has the pedigree: Successful college player, high-NFL draft pick. And he knows how to coach. People within the program told me he tried to help out Chris Wilson last year because he saw issues but was not really allowed to help out.

Q: Trojan Twice
What are the exact differences between an Official and an Unofficial high school players visit to a University?

A: USC pays for an official visit. An unofficial visit is paid for by the recruit or his parents.

  1. Carolina 17 – Az 0. C. Palmer has Carolina right where he wantsthem. Carson bounces on.

      • Agreed — Carson has given this season everything he has (and then some). Losing this game is gonna be tough for him to take. This is a cause for joy?

        • Well the upshot is the no former Bozo U QB has ever started a Super Bowl streak continues.

          • Az turned the ball over 7 times tonight. Mr. Palmer, the former Bozo U Heisman Trophy winner, is directly responsible for 6 TO’s – 2 fumbles and 4 int’s.

So to recap the Bozo U weekend:

0 for Oregon; lost a Volleyball match 3 games to 1 to UCLA; and, Mr. Palmer helps Carolina make the Super Bowl.

JG, you must be proud, so I’ll leave the moral high ground to you.

          • ‘ruins lost to Oregon, and have 8 on the season. Your stinking team loses at home to the woeful Trojans by big margin. Ashamed of myself for responding to a creep like yourself.
Doubt you have any real knowledge of ucla sports history in any athletic program. Our men volleyball team has a former loser ‘ruin as head coach which is another Haden coaching mistake.

          • Owns, I recommend patience, my friend. In my humble opinion, there’s no need to pile on poor Carson at this point. He’s gone pro and so no longer of much consequence. Remember , it’s been weeks since SoCal had a major FUBAR. They haven’t had to can a drunk coach, had a anyone fake saving his nephew or any other major F-up. you KNOW they are due, just wait for it. It’s just what they do.

        • I’m surprised you are not updating us (gloating) about UCLA’s chess team beating the SC board game club in a 6 game push?
I have to ask, what is it like to have your whole life be about celebrating somebody else’s achievements that you had nothing to do with?
