No. 1 Recruit For 2017

Scout.com named tailback Najee Harris of Antioch, Calif., as its No. 1 player for the Class of 2017. He is already committed to Alabama (of course). Do you think USC can get him to flip? Stephen Carr, who is a “soft commit” for USC and also a Class of 2017 tailback, was offered by Notre Dame yesterday.

  1. Beat Alabama and Notre Dame and these type of problems usually will take care of themselves.

  2. Anything is possible with a year to go,I am glad no one bailed out on SC…those recruiter guys deserve a bonus.

  3. Win big in 2016 and all things are possible. You have to win. This is SC. If they are challenging for championships like they used to, there’s no limit to the athletes that they can get. But nothing is going to happen if you are not winning.

  4. The way the Cadre figures it, he’ll make a visit to Southern Cal, then, will go elsewhere.

  5. Harris has already said SC is his second choice at the moment. He’s not fully committed. Mark my words USC will flip him. Mark them I say!

  6. Players want to be part of a winning team but almost more importantly is playing time. Harris will evaluate Alabama’s depth chart and if he thinks he can crack it he’ll most likely stick. Otherwise he’ll flip to another school.

  7. For what it’s worth…out of 5 “expert” predictions on 247, 3 have him signing with SC, 1 with Alabama and 1 with the JC across town

  8. So, as I’ve said from the beginning and all along ever since; Clay was the “one and only” right choice to be our the head coach, he brilliantly put together a great staff and the sky is not falling, USC has the #1 class in the PAC 12. This staff will coach ’em up and they’ll play like Trojans. I predict we’ll win a close game over Alabama and we’ll be 4 – 0 to start the season. LOL at the trolls and their TINO cousins (Trojans in name only).

  9. If Clay Helton is true to his word, and commits to the running game next season, then I’m sure Najee Harris would flip his commitment. Because the spread offense doesn’t prepare quarterbacks , or running backs for the nfl like the pro set, would.
