Larry Scott On Pat Haden

Here is Larry Scott’s not-surprising statement: “The Pac-12 salutes Pat Haden for his success and impact as athletic director of USC. Over the last six years, Pat was a valuable voice in conference matters and played a leadership role nationally with his fellow Athletic Directors and as a founding member of the College Football Playoff. As a former student-athlete, Pat served as a strong proponent for the benefits of the college experience, and led his Trojans to success on the field and in the classroom. We join the Trojan family in thanking him and wishing him all the best in retirement.”

  1. I don’t know – that just looks like the standard boiler plate one hears at any notice of one: leaving, retiring, transferring, dying (seriously). Nothing one wouldn’t expect from Scott or the same would be from the mouth of Haden were Scott leaving the Pac-12.

      • My point exactly – it’s no different than those industry award shows -“Let’s see who hasn’t gotten an award uhhh ok this year we’ll give it to Rob Fukasaki but make sure no one books before he takes the stage.”

        Same

  2. Only thing missing was: He was preceded in death by Mike Garrett, Reggie Bush, and a National Championship Crystal Ball.

    • Back to Garrett and your selective memory right? Garrett gace us: Chad Krueter, he gave us Kiffin, he gave us a series of incompetent mens BB coaches and lastly he went out of his way to mock the NCAA.

Listening to him a week or so ago on PMS it was good to note a tone of humility from Garrett now at CSULA and the same for Papadakis begging him to be the ‘mc’ for the Diablos mens basketball games. A pair the two of them and both realizing way too late arrogance is only good when you actually make and pay all the bills.

  3. The one that should be moving on is UCLA AD Dan Guerrero. His hire of Altford was as bad as Haden’s choice for football HC – Sarkisian. Forget the booze problems of Sarkisian – the skill set is identical and that program – mens BB is what UCLA constantly speaks fervently. Mora is decent but it is becoming apparent he’s not really that good.

Guerrero is the one that should leave – I swear he threw a dart against the wall after his two first choices, upon sacking Howland, declined to coach at UCLA. “Hmmm let’s see whose out there….hmmm how about this guy….’splat’….uhhh it’s Altford? Yeah Altford…make him an offer!”

  4. We need an AD that is willing to step it up against the NCAA for their heinous grievances!!!

    • I’m with you. At least get them back while McNairs still fighting them, and from what I last heard is going to get a nice settlement $$$!

      • It’s obvious now that Kiffin was the focus of the hate, and he has redeemed himself fully – timing is good

        • What? Yolo, your tiny little brain has some serious self defense/self denial properties.
Were you in a coma during The Sark Debacle?

          • Watch out everybody, the lowliest bruin trolls are creeping to the surface – total Domination in both football and basketball must hurt!

            #Thank You Pat!!!

  5. Just wait. The NCAA is not done with Kettlebell U and Cashman Klemm. Announcement in the coming weeks with penalties. Mora will be foot out . USCs penalties will be a slap on the hand to what is expected to hit the Kettlebell Champs!

  6. And when this latest prediction by you fails you will have morphed into another sock puppet, gee nerd.
