Scott Felix Update

I’m hearing USC linebacker Scott Felix officially appealed the one-year suspension he would receive for failing a drug test. USC says Felix’s status is uncertain. The NCAA will decide the appeal. One interesting aspect is the NCAA committee that hears appeals never knows the name of the athlete or the college during the hearing.

  1. He’s probably too small to play DE in Clancy Pendergast’s defense, anyway. So he may get lost in the shuffle, or because a special teams, Super Star .

    • I agree 6’2 240 is way too small to be a DE but OLB would work if he wasn’t so slow.

      • Why are you trying to steal the real F.S.’s identity? You should be shot… or at least tar and feathered….

        • I am Fred Sampson. I don’t know what your talking about. Your violent aggression does suspect a hidden lifestyle begging to come out. Give into your feelings Rah Rah.

          • 3 posts in and you’re already the REAL Fred Sampson?…. Okay, Bucket… whatever you say

          • Who the hell is Bucket??? It’s always Bucket. I’m glad I can always count on you Rah Rah your so gullible.

          • And you’re even MORE gullible if you honestly expect us to believe that you’re really African American, based on your avatar… you ought to be ashamed of yourself, but I know that you’re not because your burning desire for attention is too strong, even if it comes at the expense of common decency and your own integrity….

          • Its so easy to rile you up Rah Rah. I am offended at your comments. I am a proud African American who loves USC. I am the real Fred Sampson. The other guy is the imposter. I’ll prove it. Who was the one who cooked you dinner as we sat on the couch and watched Bridget Jones Diary. Yes that would be me.

          • Its the real me. The other guy is a troll and I’m guessing Rah Rah is too. It looks like someone stole his identity too. Its a shame me come here to talk Trojan and these guys just mess it all up.

          • Quite frankly I don’t know and I don’t care about these clowns….all I know is that they are obsessed with everything USC and the attention that we obviously command… Fight on!

          • If you didn’t care you wouldn’t reply 12 times to my posts. I’ve got you right where I want you Rah Rah. I own you and always will.

          • Since I never refer to my fellow bloggers by their names , then I think there should be no confusion. And very seldom will I engage into one on one, battles .

          • Who is this Troll? Everyone knows I am the REAL Fred Sampson. I work at a gas station in Torrance, own a 1982 Mazda B2000, and own 3 Tommy Trojan autographed Skirts.

        • I’m flattered, and if that’s what people want to do, so be it. Because I can’t control what clowns do…lol

      • Chuckie, you know we’ve talked about creating these avatar-de-jours. Just too much work for the return on investment. By my count this is #92.

And I’m not sure why you picked Ainsley Harriott for your avatar, but you could have done much better.

  2. Word is Rosen is talking about a transfer or holding his breath until Mora goes back to old offense. Rosen was promised out of high school to start and run a similar offense to his high school scheme.

    • He ought to thank his lucky stars UCLA has switched to a more traditional offense. Because the stuff he was running before doesn’t prepare you for the next level, because there’s no substitute for lining up under center. Just ask Tim Tebow, RGIII, Jake Locker, Johnny Manziel, Matt Barkley, eetc, etc, etc

    • I heard a similar rumor to the one you mentioned (not that he’s transferring) and it came from a very reliable source, a sports agent who works closely with UCLA. He said that Rosen didn’t see exactly eye to eye with Mazzone’s kid, who was their QB coach last year, because Mazzone wanted Rosen to roll out of the pocket more often and use his mobility (albeit limited) to gain yardage, but JR flat out refused to do so, I would presume out of fear of being injured. Rosen is not the first primadonna QB out of SoCal and he won’t be the last.

  3. USC is better off with Scott Felix not receiving an appeal as he would take away playing time from more skilled new recruits.

  4. Scott Starr AKA Scott Felix is a force. His 3 tackles against Fresno state was the beginning of greatness.

  5. Best bet for Scott would be to transfer to a lower level program if he has any eligibility remaining.

    • New Mexico Highlands , is a place where athletes go that are in Scott Felix position, and the NFL are very aware of that .

  6. This not knowing the name or team would work well if and only if there are a bunch of appeals being heard (like ten or more from major metropolitan areas.) Or the people on the committee have no outside communication. Just Google failed football drug test and find Felix. This committee needs to be from another planet
    Otherwise he’s hosed.
