Also, you can be sure Wolfy hates this hire because he NEVER had a scoop on it. For someone who claims to be an insider to USC Athletic department, Wolfy had ZERO scoop on this and is none too pleased!
Considering he isn’t actually on the job yet, I think it’s too soon to tell.

Congratulations on the scoop and congratulations on the hiring of Swannie! You’ve just been handed a great gift.
This hire is at least 3 years of easy material without even getting up off the couch.
Sure hope his health is good, we need an AD that can perform the job.
Especially at his advanced age.
We’ll just have to wait and see how this works out but I do like the hire. He’s a winner. He was an all-american high school player as well as playing basketball and being the California state champ in the long jump. He is in the college football hall of fame as well as the pro football hall of fame. He played on Rose Bowl teams as well as a national championship team in college and then he played on those super bowl winners in the pros. That type of player who has been associated with winning and championships all of his life, does not handle mediocrity very well. I think that his goal will be to bring back the days of glory in USC football. Let’s wait and see.
