Good Day For Adoree Jackson

Adoree Jackson won the 100 meters (10.38), won the 4×100 relay with fellow football players Dominic Davis and Ronald Jones, won the long jump (25-4.75) and finished second in the 200 (21.08) at the USC-UCLA dual track meet.
Now it bears mentioning he is a long way from being where he needs to be to make the U.S. Olympic team in the long jump. The qualifying standard for the U.S. Olympic Trials is 26-5.

UPDATED: Despite Jackson’s heroics, UCLA won the men’s meet, 103-60. USC won the women’s meet, 97-66.

  2. Running track has had mixed results for Adore. I think he missed a lot from not coming out for spring ball especially with a new DC and a new system. On the other hand, he’s really increased his speed. I don’t remember him being that fast his senior year in high school.

  3. Looks like without Adoree we wouldn’t have a mens track team this year.

  4. Congrats to the WOT for a very satisfying win over the ‘ruins. This shows that Smith – Gilbert should only coach the women. Really disappointing result for Cunningham in the high jump which is his only event. Hard to believe he can’t long or triple jump in a duel meet to help the team.

      • No. They do count and they do matter very much. But seriously. On this board in the few years I’ve been hear the only ones who really bring up, shout and brag about them are you know who? Bingo! The Bruin fans.
        JUST SAYING.

        • I remember Garry Bleauz being excited about the SC women’s golf team in the NCAA playoffs but that is about it. Most of the rah rahs like Jacqui say the women’s teams don’t count, which is really strange for a trans.
