LACROSSE

USC suffered its first loss of the season as the fifth-seeded Trojans lost at fourth-seeded Syracuse, 12-11, in overtime of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. With a victory, USC (20-1) would have made the Final Four. USC’s Cynthia Del Core scored an unassisted goal with 1:53 left to tie the score, 11-11, and force overtime

  1. No final four, somethings don’t change. Beach bingo, sandbox volleyball on.

        • But if SC fans bring up SC’s water polo titles, its silly of them. How do you spell looser? O-W-N-S.

    • (chortle) just when the trOXan women were giving the med a sense of purpose.

and after the Dummies for YEARS bashed their own women’s sports programs! now they are crawling on their hands and knees begging the women for more Nattys!!

  2. Sucks! I was hoping for our 3rd national title in 3 weeks…. Fight on!

  3. What’s the point of this sport? It looks like a cross between hockey and soccer played with broken tennis rackets.
Does anybody actually watch it? Go title IX

    • I’m with you, OTND. Do you get why we play this obscure sport and waste all that money on travel? We could play a much more popular sport in softball with many local programs in the Southland to compete against and cut travel costs. I’d love to hear Pat Haden’s rationale for this.

      • Lacrosse is very collegiate. Big in the Northeast. Has that classy Ivy League chic. Right up Haden’s alley.
