The Never-Ending 2017 QB Recruiting Hunt

San Clemente QB Jack Sears was invited over the weekend to the Elite 11 finals. Sears is probably USC’s No. 1 QB target for 2017. Is it really possible two quarterbacks from San Clemente would follow each other to USC? It seems doubtful Sears would want to watch Sam Darnold start for a couple years but who knows. Sears certainly beats the alternative of USC trying to woo Tate Martell for a third time.

Did you notice Texas A&M, which got dropped by Martell a couple weeks ago, secured a commitment from QB Connor Blumrick? I don’t know a lot about Blumrick. But I know he is 6-6. Not 5-10.

  1. UCLA offered Sears three weeks prior to bozo u. Just another case of bozo u monkey see, monkey do.

    • Well Popo had this to say about #ClownU… .

“When I went there, it was very unexpected,” Popo Aumavae said. “I didn’t know it was a private school. I didn’t know much about USC because when I hear USC I think it’s that little school in the ghetto and stuff”

  2. This guy looks like the real deal. If you want to get these kinds of players, you have to win and win big. Otherwise, they go somewhere else. You win big when you have great coaches. To get great coaches you have to pay the big bucks and go for the best guy, not just a USC alum. It makes me mad that Athlon magazine just rated the Pac-12 football coaches from best to worst. CH was rated worst. I guess that is understandable since he doesn’t have much of a resume. David Shaw was rated the best. Second was Chris Peterson and third was Kyle Whittingham. We passed over Peterson for ‘7 win Sark’. He lasted one year and as far as I know we never even interviewed Whittingham. I think that we could have gotten him too. Hopefully, CH will become a great coach. Sometimes hiring an assistant works out. It’s the process that bothers me. If you were going to hire an assistant, you should have hired coach O.

  3. Hat’s off to Mora blasting Rosen –

‘Unless he continues to work hard…unless he makes good
decisions…unless he dedicates himself the way that guys like Tom Brady
and Drew Brees and Peyton Manning have then it’s a pipe dream.

And, I’ve asked him “Who do you want to be Johnny Manziel or Tom
Brady? And, you need to make that decision right now and you need to
start working in the direction that you want to work in. So, if you’re
going to go out on Donald Trump’s golf course and wear a hat that says
‘F– Trump’, I said, ‘You’re heading towards Johnny Manziel.’
