Tale Of Two Programs

ENFIELD.PROVIDENCEWhat does it say when Oregon’s Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey withdraw from the NBA Draft while USC’s Julian Jacobs and Nikola Jovanovic stayed in the draft. Dana Altman . . . Andy Enfield . . . Dana Altman . . . Andy Enfield. Hmmm.

  1. We don’t know. We’re not REPORTERS who are paid to ask and find out this type of stuff. You are.

  2. The Oregonian LA Daily News…..The Oregonian LA Daily News…..The Oregonian LA Daily News

  3. A good journalist would ask the questions and report the facts, and refrain from innuendo. Guess we are still waiting for the Daily News to hire a true sports reporter for the USC beat and not saddle us with a opinion writer masquerading as an objective reporter. BTW, I have no problem with you expressing your opinion Scott but have the decency to not call yourself an objective reporter but rather an opinionated columnist.

  4. Maybe says that USC does a better job preparing players for the NBA than Oregon?

    • Oregon Univ. won the first NCAA basketball tournament NC.

It’s my opinion bozo u players prefer playing for $$$$ instead of Andyain’twinning. The guy could double a lemon.

      • And Johnny Cheetin’ Wooden bought 10 of them. So what is your point, squatter?

  5. Boy Scottie, you just HATE it that Enfield was successful this year. For whatever reason, you invested in the “Enfieid is a bad coach meme” for two years and this season blew that all away. Made you look foolish, like you have no idea what you are talking about, because you don’t.

A running joke on both the Scout and Rivals boards is whether you are actually at the game when you make your posts “from the game.” Numerous Rivals and Scout people who are in the press box will post about the fact that a post pops up about something happening in the game even though no one has seen you in the press box, or Galen Center for that matter.

Does First Digital know about your lack of ethics?

    • Scottie has a list of people who have crossed him and it is very lengthy because who in their right mind would give him the time of day? It is very close to the USC alumni list plus anybody who has ever worked for the University. Anybody that has crossed him gets wolfian treatment. In the end nobody is harmed and it keeps Scottie busy and away from the cheerleaders and elementary schools.

    • 6th place and one and done in the NCAA is successful? So much for Independent _George.

      • 20+ wins after winning 20 the previous two seasons combined. The first tournament appearance in what, 7 years. The best win-loss improvement of any power 5 conference team. Yeah, that is a successful season.

        • The preseason wins were over a bunch of tomato cans. They finished 6th in conference when they had to play real competition. And now they are going backwards.

  6. Jovanovic and Jacobs are juniors who both have received NBA interest. Dilllon and Brooks are frosh/sophs who were both told to get better by the NBA

  7. Like most schools. USC extended Enfields contract based on one season results. Too many schools make that mistake . And this season was just an NCAA appearance and middle of the road conference performance

      • Awesome . We should have made it for more years. 6th place out of 12 gets him an extension.

    • Since you’re a fan of the conference, how does Washington State women’s track & field look for next year?
Who should we keep an eye on?

      • Oregon, because that’s where bozo u Nike $$$$ subsidies originate – or bozo u, the poor cadet branch of Oregon Univ., as it were.

        • Squatter, your boss is wondering why aren’t you out there collecting cans and bottles right now. Your quota is to make $30.00 today. That is a big push for you.

      • Seriously , womens track and field. What disappoints me most in the conference is we love to say the conf of champions but most of these championships are in the least participating sports in college.

  8. Scott, do you know what the circumstances of these kids are? Maybe the USC kids needed the money and had to go whereas the Oregon kids could afford to wait.

  9. I think it says that they all have different reasons for staying in the draft or going back to school. How do you paint 4 kids from different backgrounds/situations/talent with the same brush? MAYBE the USC kids received promises from NBA teams during their workouts and the Oregon kids did not…Scott Wolf….Idiot…Scott Wolf…hack writer…

  10. Enfield was successful this past year because his first two years were pathetic, and nowhere to go but upwards. Team was lousy on the road, and home schedule in OOC was a joke. Florida Gulf Coast made the tournament w/o Mr. Enfield this year. You don’t lose all these eligible players for no reason that had a big chance to go farther in the next year at the ncaa tourney.
