  1. Kicking down the door of the wrong apartment. What should have ended as a run of the mill case of a dude beating up his girlfriend instead results in another victim of gunshot violence. (Yeah, that’s laced with sarcasm.)

The deference given to this guy today is sickening.

    • Bradley, sorry you’re not feeling well. as you are no doubt aware some individuals make one tragic mistake and end up paying dearly for it. at such times it is customary for those who cared for them or cheered for them to try to remember the good things about the person and not dwell on the one mistake they paid so dearly for. i can think of several Trojans (and Bruins) who fall into this category.

publishing these stories also serves the purpose of being a warning to others who are susceptible to making similar mistakes. he paid for what he did and then some. the judge(s) can take a knee on this one, i think.

      • Wow Charlie! Never seen this side of you. I agree with everything you wrote.

      • “one tragic mistake”

Breaking and entering isn’t a “mistake,” Charlie. It’s a crime. And what was he going to do? Do you often break down the doors of your friends and family?

Have sympathy for his family, the man defending himself, and for Dejean-Jones on a personal level, but don’t extenuate his crime and his “intent.

That does a disservice to everyone.

    • Such a waste: Bryce Dejean-Jones had signed a 3 year / $2,059,265 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, including $169,883 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $686,422. In 2015-16, Dejean-Jones earned a base salary of $169,883.

    • Does anyone know his background? Why would he spurn a full ride scholarship at one of the great universities in the world in USC and transfer to lowly UNLV of all places? Talk about a life changing error. He had the chance to develop himself academically and create connections that would last a lifetime. Sounds like this guy made many bad decisions in life and this was the last one. Perhaps he suffered from undiagnosed mental illness. Millions of kids would have given anything to have his opportunities and he threw them all away.

  2. Three schools in what – 2-3 years is telling. Regardless of the tragedy one doesn’t kick in doors at night – not in TX.

    • I guess bozo u’s basketball program needed recruits ASAP and D-J fit the warm body qualifications. Who recruited D-J? – or “Who goofed, I’ve got to know.”

I bet he was a Helen favorite.

        • Please, please, please answer my question: who recruited D-J?

Don’t be shy Commie SUCC, because I know you know who goofed.

        • Unless your body is cremated or mummified Commie SUCC, bodies do tend to rot in graves.

You on the other hand will be pickled, vacuum packed in a Ripple bottle and displayed at the “Empty Bottle,” as a visual anti-Alky ad.

  3. How about them former bozos? To bad D-J didn’t do in So. Central, because bozo u General is pretty good with gunshot trauma wounds.

      • That’s his middle name just pathetic – no wife/girl friend, no kids, no home (cept’ his parents where he lives with – lucky them) no career except to squat and defecate.

Truly you are a pathetic fool – a vile little spider a real lover of the perverted and revolting.

        • “…bile little spider…” Are you mad Commie SUCC?

How typical of Commie SUCC. It’s as if D-J kicked in the wrong door because he wanted a warm and fuzzy evening with his Ex and child.

I understand, because every time my Ex invites me to dinner, I alway kick down her door to announce my arrival.

        • the curse of thug u continues…..when do you boneheads smarten up….

        • Chug one more 5th of potato mash and you won’t be so angry. More like ready to fall down and black out.

      • Really I couldn’t. I mean former bozo kicks down the wrong residential home door and is gut shot.

JG, it just illustrates that bozo u will leave no rock on unturned in pursuit of sports mediocrity

No wonder Josh Shaw opted to save his drowning nephew.

    • Truly you are a pathetic fool – a vile little spider a real lover of the perverted and revolting.

      • Commie SUCC does this mean the blog will be treated to your 10,000th drunken grave dance/rant re: JW and Nell?

Only 9,999 more tacky J-D comments to go.

        • So now you feel led to align yourself with this cretin is huh?

Look a suggestion to all you lice – go hang on your own loser board i.e. none of us here ever go there.

specific to this incident – this kid’s death was a tragedy.

          • Yes it was a tragedy, funny though, I think you’d have a different take if this kid went to UCLA. But yeah, I’m the cretin. Keep trying to link Wooden to the Kennedy assassination.

          • You admitted yourself you knew nothing of Wooden, Sam Gilbert et. al.. As to my excessive sarcasm will welcome to your opponent’s website.

I don’t like saints Lincoln, Jack Kennedy, Ghandi – they bore the you know what out of me.

The mistake UCLA made is canonizing Wooden and then ignoring the reality of what every major coach and sports reporter knew to be the other side.

Owns is an example of what comes here 24/7 to mock USC. You don’t see
any of us going over to your board – none but such as he and you come
            here – get lost.

As usual Commie SUCC get his fictionfacts from the bottom of an empty Ripple bottle.

          • Actually, no we wouldn’t. A young person dying is bigger than which college basketball team you like. Only a troll loser wouldn’t understand that.

          • Hey Gooberhead, D-J didn’t pass because of a tragic, catastrophic accident or incurable medical problem.

No, D-J was capped for kicking in/down the wrong door he thought was his ex-wife’s door. Cool huh?

I’m sure if someone kicked in/down the Goober Family door, your first reaction would be to ask the friendly intruder if he was a former bozo u athlete.

  4. Damn. That’s crazy. A man defends his home shooting and killing someone who mistakenly is in the wrong apartment. You have to feel bad for everyone involved in this one. But most of all the 1-year-old kid who lost his/her dad.

  5. “Dallas police say Dejean-Jones broke into an apartment he thought belonged to his estranged girlfriend and mother of his 1-year-old child but instead surprised a stranger, who shot him.”

Southern Cal ScumBaggieness runs strong with this one!

  6. Bryce underwent turbulent times at USC. He and O’Neil got along like cat and dog. Both brought their own particular baggage to the scene. Jones, as well as his coach, were both troubled souls. No way they could co-exist. Both (the player and the coach) led the team in technicals that season. Bryce, the Frosh, had stats in all other categories very similar to those of Fontan, the Junior. He was anything but chopped liver.
Had the timing been somewhat different (Bryce being several years older), it would have been interesting to see if Floyd could have turned him around…as ‘Pink’ wound up doing with others.
