Adoree Jackson Update

Track and Field News currently projects Adoree Jackson will finish sixth in the long jump at the NCAA championships. That is not an Olympic-caliber finish. If it happens, Jackson could have the option of trying to find a certified meet to try and get an Olympic trials qualifying mark.

  1. Again the blogger pushes the false narrative that Jackson has to jump 26′ to go to the trials. 26′ gets you an automatic qualification. Otherwise it is the top 24 jumpers. Jackson is ranked 15th in the US. He will go to the trials but not the Olympics. It would nice if you know who could do his homework. It is his profession.

    • If that’s true then this misinformation or perhaps disinformation is truly appalling and an outright disservice to the public. I hope you’re wrong because I don’t want to believe a paid writer in this media market would put out that kind of work product. I’ve been following this narrative for over a year!

  2. Jackson will go to the Olympic Trials because he is ranked 19th right now, and a few of the guys ahead of him will not be competing. The top 24 long jumpers from May 1st 2015 to end of June 2016 will make the Olympic Trials.
