My Daily News colleague, Mark Whicker, writes about former USC guard Bryce Dejean-Jones, who was shot dead at 23 on Saturday.
“He didn’t think anybody on the court was better than him,” said Derrick Taylor, his coach at Taft High School. “He wanted the big shot and he would take on anybody to get it.”
Very sad.
He was a good player. Showed a lot of promise as a freshman at SC. I remember being very disappointed to hear he was leaving.
