O.J. Simpson, Part 4

OJ.PRACTICE.2Tonight is Part 4 of “O.J. Made in America,” on ESPN.  I’ve already watched the episode. Warning: The crime scene photos are extremely graphic and heartbreaking.

ESPN has released a statement regarding the photos: “There are several graphic crime scene photos that will be shown during Part 4 of “O.J.: Made in America” that the director and producers of the film feel are key to the powerful narrative of the documentary. These will not be altered in the initial television premiere, nor will they be altered in the version of the film that will be available on demand to viewers online or via cable VOD services. However, since subsequent re-airs will take place at various times, those photos will be blurred in future re-airs.”

  1. spoiler alert – the crime scene photos are the same ones we have seen over and over again for 20 years

    • I saw some photos of Goldman’s hands and neck I’ve never seen before. Truly one of the most brutal crime scenes imaginable.

      • It all came down to “reasonable doubt,” so with the Mark Furman blow up, the recent Rodney King verdict, and everybody’s involvement with cocaine – it was a perfect storm of doubt

        • No it wasn’t. He was guilty as sin but racist jury nullification ruled the day.

          • Doesn’t feel so good when it happens to you guys, huh? RIP, Emmett Till.

          • Hundreds of black people have been screwed by the System. OJ verdict was poetic justice.

          • So you agree that racism is good when your team is the one doing it. So you are no better that the racists that killed Emmett Till.

          • So according to you and your ilk we can never have justice, just racist payback on innocent victims to make up for past injustices.

      • All you had to see was the river of blood, which I did, first hand, to understand the brutality – her townhome was right around the corner from one of my favorite burger joints

        • I’ll never grasp how he was able to transfer so little blood (we’re talking specs) to the white Bronco. He must have literally been awash in it. He practically drained his victims of blood. Still, there was so much remarkable evidence against him.

Even if you hated Furman for the man he was, how anyone could think he could/would in a couple short hours attempt to masterfully frame O.J. when he had no knowledge of O.J.’s whereabouts and a potential unbreakable alibi during the killing is completely nonsensical.

          • Jason SImpson was the one that was seen right after the murders and then whammo gone.

          • What do you think Jason did? Maybe some house clean-up? You think Jason was actually at the original crime scene? No way. O.J did this alone. Few people are sick enough to be involved in what O.J. did and Jason and Cowlings aren’t that sick.

          • Well the skinny i heard was that he (Jason) was part of it and he ‘vanished’ almost immediately.

          • Well the skinny i heard was that he (Jason) was part of it and he ‘vanished’ almost immediately.

          • Smart observation. The defense managed to make it into People vs LAPD. And, since jurors can’t focus on two trials at once, the one titled People vs Simpson got short shrift.

          • Thank you, brother Michael – looking forward to watching some games with you this season!

This graduate transfer from Utah as an addition to the Dline is a big relief

          • Just be real hungry and thirsty, my friend. Susan’s planned a three course Italian deal!
(At least for our first game, I’m actually more worried about Kiffin targeting an unprepared Adoree than I am about our inexperienced D-line).

          • You are probably right about Adoree – Im going to the first three games against Bama, UtSt, and Stanford but will be home for the rest of the schedule

          • Very cool, Yolo. We can catch some of the Pac 12 race on the new, untested Spectrum Cable— scheduled to replace Time Warner Oceanic by October! (If it turns out we’re getting inferior reception, I hope Scott will lobby for the return of Time Warner—the Hawaiian people will be depending on him)!

          • NICE! Can’t wait, just make sure you have the gate clicker all figured out!!

          • Ha! I have practiced the clicker repeatedly in the hopes of an encore —I think you will be proud of me. (Maybe I’ll even hang out at the gate for a few hours after the game—showing off for my neighbors as I let them in and out).

          • I hope the Time Warner take over will be smoother than Frontier’s takeover of Verizon.

          • Im rooting for a Rio Olympic cancelation – between zika and the “economic state of calamity” just declared… Adoree’ needs to focus on football

          • Why didn’t anyone else hit on this solution?
As usual you are way ahead of the masses, Yolo. It is the only way of ending Adoree’s ‘personal journey.’
Remembering how completely out of position Jackson was on at least three occasions against a Stanford team that is WAY slower than Alabama is giving me nightmares (and don’t think Kiffin didn’t notice).

          • A lot of that may have had to do with coaching

Defense should be good with Clancy and all the athletes available – he was great in one season when they had a very thin roster, one should be comfortable assuming it will be better with a better roster

          • No question the defense is in better hands now. But I bet you anything, pardner, that Clancy wishes he had more time with Adoree before September 3rd.

          • Democrat District Attorney Gil Garcetti predetermined the outcome of the trial when he filed the case in Downtown Los Angeles when, in fact, the murders took place in the Santa Monica Judicial District.

          • Gil is really smart, gt —so you have to wonder why he thought being close to downtown headquarters was worth more than getting a jury which better represented a cross section of the community. Or why he decided to throw out all evidence relating to O.J.’s attempted flight to Mexico. Or why he didn’t affidavit the smart but goofy and self-involved Judge Ito.

  2. forget this wife beating trOXan POS, wolfman, lets focus on Sunday’s GOT episode: “Battle of the Basterds”!!

despite what people are saying, it is NOT a documentary about Sark and Paddy Boy.

  3. Still can’t believe the jury just free-passed him. In the end, it ended up hurting the black community even more because O.J. never really cared about blacks and there are so many more deserving blacks who could have received some kind of break from the system.

The only criticism of the entire series I would have would be the complete ignoring of drugs being so prevalent at Rockingham when O.J. went nuts. I think the LAPD knew all about it too and let it slide because they wanted to hang out with him.

  4. Anyone else using the ‘block’ feature? It keeps the blog completely troll-free for me. Block all the trolls, never see their comments, and no urge to respond.
