KIFFINAlabama is amending contracts for all its assistant coaches on Tuesday. Except one. Lane Kiffin will not get his contract amended and make $714,000. Why? Because USC will pay him $3.2 million.

  2. It was worth every penny to move the Kiffer on, especially from the tarmac position in the middle of the night. Loved that. He recruited some good athletes to USC and had a decent plan numbers-wise to ride out the NCAA storm. But he couldn’t lead water out of a faucet.

    I was talking with a big-time bruin WR from the 80’s the other day. He told me that what pissed off other USC coaches and staff under the Kiffer was that the Kiffer always acted like he thought he was smarter than everyone else. Some can pull that off, but not a self-obsessed jerk like the Kiffer.

  8. Standard procedure for fired coaches without cause. No wonder SC claimed cause, justly so, for firing Sark. Wonder how much longer SC has to pay Kiffin? Didn’t he sign a 5 year deal in 2010, then fired in 2013? Fortunate AL pays him anything otherwise SC would be on the hook for the full $4 million.
