Morning Buzz: Najee Harris, Top Tailback In Nation, At USC Camp

Najee Harris, who is rated the top tailback in the nation and No. 2 player overall by Rivals.com, is at the USC Rising Stars Camp this morning. Harris is committed to Alabama but USC is recruiting him hard.  Also at the camp is offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood, who is also committed to Alabama.

    • Charlie,
I don[‘t know about bama hanging 77. But I do know when USC hung 50 on the thugs of ugly, ugly tried to surrender but USC would have nothing to do with that, so USC burnt those uni’s off the back of every thug player aka ruin player on the last bomb for a td.

        • Charlie, no we are not square. See, thug u aka ruin vile is still looking up at USC from the overall win and loss record. Also, don’t forget Heisman’s , national championships, league titles, rose bowl appearances, rose bowl wins, and all Americans. Now, I you want to say thug u aka ruin vile is squared away with USC, then go right ahead. But u know that is not the case,.

  1. He’s a future USC Tailback. And mark MY WORDS…5-Star OT Austin Jackson of AZ who is also in attendance again will commit before August.

    • LOVE IT Sam, this is the kind of Inside SC info I come here for – How do you feel about Helton and his crew’s ability to sell the program for all that it’s worth, and their overall effort toward recruiting as compared to Jim Harbag? Is this group going to continue nailing top 5 recruiting classes?

      • Jackson’s uncle or father played at SC. From everything I’ve heard on him he’s been a silent commit for a long time now. All the websites are thinking he’s set to make it official before summers over.

        • Right on, Fight On SAM!!!

Im going to the first three games if all goes as planned, then probably the duck and notre dame games – I feel better about our chances with this Utah grad transfer helping with the Dline :)))

          • Awesome! That Alabama game should be legendary for you. We’re trying to make plans to get out to the Utah game in Salt Lake city. But we have to take care of Bama first and foremost!

    • If Harris is #1, Carr is #1A.I know last year Carr was actively
recruiting Harris for us.Curious to see if that’s still the case.A very interesting player at camp is Falaniko. All the way from Samoa .I think he’s a diamond in the rough. He could be a special player with good coaching.

      • One of the reason’s Carr was wavering on SC was because the staff told him they are going 100% hard for Najee Harris AND they want BOTH. Yeah. I’m also interested in the kid from Samoa to see how he does against some elite competition.

        • It’s all going to come down to coaching and winning isn’t
It my friend? Recruiting wise we will always have the potential
to land a top 5 class.Yet until coaches show with Wins, player development ,and PAC 12 victories,we will be a team with “potential”. Personally I believe the coaches off season have
done quite well recruiting and identifying teams areas to improve.
From chatter among players ,OL coaching looks much stronger.
T.Helton is making good noise ,and seems to be the lead recruiter
for Harris.Pendergast will always be quiet,he’s got the biggest job,
most to handle, and coaches to develop along with players. The biggest holes to fill, and where we need to excel to see more than 8
wins………So bring it ON ! Let’s play.( recruiting talk is always fun)

          • Definitely. I honestly think the image of us grabbing kids at will is waring off some and this season the coaching will be magnified seriously. But a lot of kids are attracted to Pendergast even though he doesn’t like to recruit. And BKU is really popular everywhere he goes. But time to win.
