He’s the next Chicago Bears head coach, maybe 2017?
how you liking you return to wolfman’s blog?? did you fulfill the ONE CONDITION yet???
#Don’tMakeUsForceYou
Isn’t he one of the top coaches in the country? (per post the other day) Maybe the USC coaching staff can learn something from him.
He is an ok coach that won in the nfl.. He is still suspect at the college level, never winning a NC.. til that happens he is just a number!
So by that logic you’d rank Gene Chizik and Larry Coker above Harbaugh, Dantonio and David Shaw?
He doesn’t like the #Fact ClownU was a 44pt favorite and loss to JHarbaugh constantly.. .
#Ohitstrue
You forgot Mac Brown
Mac’s borderline, he had a pretty good 9-10 yr run before the wheels fell off.
His whining back in 2004 crying for other coaches to vote TX into the Rose Bowl over Cal is indelible. BTW he left a mess in Austin.
BREXIT yes!
Yeah, the game passed him by, no question, but I still wouldn’t put him with Coker or Chizik. He got to 4 BCS games and 2 National Title games, pretty good as far as I’m concerned.
As far as the Brexit goes, leaving the EU won’t solve the problem of the dearth of unskilled workers in a 21st century economy. This isn’t a political statement, but a fact of reality. I work in private equity, I started at Goldman Sachs and I got a business degree from Harvard, life has worked out okay for me. But a lot of people who skated by in a goods economy are simply not equipped to compete in a service one. Again, not a partisan point, just a realistic one. The last two days have caused a huge headache for many of us in finance, but at the end of the day, we’ll be okay. No has the guts to tell a 50 year old white guy that can no longer find work that foreigners aren’t the problem, his lack of skills are. Again, not a political point, just a realistic one.
Tell that to the out of work American construction workers watching cheap illegal aliens getting hired instead.
I’d tell them that they need to figure out a new way to compete in a global economy, we’re not going backwards. If you lack the requisite skills it’s going to be tough.
Yeah but the looming problem is automation. As more and more actual workers are cancelled through machines replacing them the much needed taxes to finance social security is severe. Hearing here that in the EU there is serious discussion to ‘tax’ machines to replace the lost revenue, Assuming that occurs now you have a ‘dole’ that is far more akin to Rome – bread and circus.
Yeah, immigration, automation, globalization: all things that improve and innovate society, but also accelerates the separation between haves and have nots.
That’s my point – there has been nearly nil increase in the average wage earner’s take home for over a decade now and consider the lack of jobs every year for recent college grads. In addition the real danger here stateside is the runaway govt. pensions. I hear it is also a real danger overseas. It’s not sustainable w.o. serious onerous taxation that will be confiscatory unless the pensions are reined in. The absolute worse are the so-called municipal firefighters.
Yeah, I could write a dissertation on this, but I’ll spare you. Everything you said is right on the money. Michael Lewis wrote a book on this called “boomerang” specifically focused on government spending. Do you know what failed cities have in common? 3 police forces and fire departments, 1 active and 2 retired.
Ouch! How true – going to remember that.
Riordan, when he was mayor 30 years ago tried to rid the city of the LAFD telling them “We don’t need you anymore >80% of the bldgs. in the city won’t burn.” They crank up their ads with those clowns wearing a ‘noreaster’ and holding their ‘helmet’ in their arm – they won.
Absolute worse are the worthless municipal firefighters.
That was a little before my time, but the new add in NYC has NYPD wives saying “Mayor Deblasio my husband should be able to afford to live in the city he protects”. It’s tough to argue against and not something I even disagree with, but they shouldn’t be able to retire at 44 and be set for life either.
The history of NY’s plundering public employee unions begins with ‘His honnar’ John Lindsey way back in 1966. Anecdotal quotes were when after the (union) had negotiated with Lindsay Mike Quill of the transport union told the next union leader going in “Boys the vault is open!”
Have good afternoon.
Ha, sounds about right.
Praise from Caesar is praise indeed!
He’s an excellent coach, and just because he doesn’t have a national championship under his belt don’t discredit him. If you can be competitive at an instatution like Stanford, then that speaks volumes. I’d bet good money, that Jim Harbaugh will have a much more successful college career at Michigan, then any current coach in the Pac 12.
He is a great coach. I still don’t like him much personally.
Think what he could do at USC….sigh.
Exactly
Exactly
Exactly
A well-known astrologer “sees” the final game of the season as a match-up between USC and.Michigan. Stu Erwin’s fortune cookie at a Chinese eatery in Toms River concurred.
‘Toms River’? That’s on the coast off Rte. 9 down near where the Hindenberg exploded – Lakehurst-NJ.
Stu’s girl friend is Tiffany. She’s a tall, lean redhead that turns heads wherever she goes. Her fortune cookie had a message that simply read, “Wear the pink one.”
Ucla trolls chirping about Stanford wins against USC is funny..1-9 against the trees while USC lost twice while holding a better record against Stanford and Ucla. GO work the fast food line. SMH .
Tell it like it is, brother!
“There is no question in my mind that USC is the best team in the country and may be the best team in the history of college football.” – JH
Later in the season, Stanford defeated #1 #ClownU 24–23 with a touchdown in the final minute. With #ClownU being the favorite by 41 points, it was statistically the greatest upset in college football history.
Harbaugh has never lost in #ClownU stadium… .
#Greatestupset
What a jerk you truly are – such a jerk you have no idea of how goofy you sound – go worship the peckerhead cause Mora is a goner.
Toledo, Dorrell, Nueheisel, Mora. All of them never won a Rose Bowl. Even John Robinson and Larry Smith won one in our “down” years. Mora is just another stepping stone to more Bruin heartache and pain. I don’t know what Helton will bring, but he’ll run circles around Mora.
Toledo was the only one that darn near got into that initial BCS CG ‘but’ there was that game down in Miami and well strong, historic programs rise to the occasion…the rest don’t and can’t.
Getting that close was all they could stand, Alv. They WANTED to lose in Miami.
#ItFeltBetterThatWay
But then he got hit by a hurricane named Miami.
Lol.. .#ClownU on HC #5, AD #2 in the last 4yrs.
#Winning
Yeppppers.
40-21
LMAO!
Wait a minute, #5n4Helton was the dummy coordinator that couldn’t figure CMora out till year 4.. .is this #true
#Wegotstoknow
Keep trying.
What can UCLA bring to the “college football table”?
Where’s the history?
What has UCLA EVER WON?
Sound the jeopardy music!
Lol.. .”history” = #YesterdayU
Yeah. We’re actually SOMETHING because we’ve WON SOMETHING. AGAIN……What have you WON?????????????????????????
Hey buddy, another thing. Have you beaten Oregon or Stanford in the last 10 years? Hmmmmmmmm? Because ding ding ding ding ding USC has. Oh and we beat them with 30 LESS SCHOLARSHIPS.
#talk to me when you get some talent
They won their one national title the last time USC made the Final Four in mens hoops: 1954. Neither has done anything since.
Shoot, Sam—even Ted Tollner won one!
Yes sirrrrrrrrrrr
The fuclans haven’t had a program since Donahue left twenty years ago . Toledo freeloaded off Donahue’s recruits and when they ran out so did the fuclan hopes. They should follow UCSB and drop football.
That would take a lot of the fun out of the month of November, marv……..
Toledo rode Donahues high into a #1 recruiting class and they fell short of a Rose Bowl. He fell a#$ backwards into that job.
But didn’t that vaunted #1 class fall apart rather quickly?
They had a lot of off the field problems that led to their demise.
uh-oh, here it comes….
#I’mGettingOuttaHere
No, Charlie! Don’t! I think the level of the dialectic is really gonna soar here today (and we both HAVE to do our part)!
#ThisIsBiggerThanPersonalTastes
ok, but this is how “it” starts…..next thing you know all these dead people end up getting dragged thru the mud.
#Shameful
I know this it how it starts, Charlie. But, the more interesting question, recently asked by a certain American President, is ‘where will it end?’ We have a solemn duty to guide all to safe harbor.
#FirstAndLastTimeIWillQuoteObama
ok, count me in…..
#HaveMyDoubts
That’s ok. Pete owned Harbaugh in the NFL.
That’s okay, Bill owned Pete “the Cheat” in the Super Bowl
#OH-no!
losing to the biggest dog in college HISTORY is ok?? you could never play for Jimbo.
#DefeatistAttitude
I’m OK with it now. Chuck. Check this out….
PETE CARROLL-2 National Championships

#losthisgame
well, that’s all i got so get USED TO IT!!
#ToughLuck
Looks like Mora’s wife feels the same way that most of the UCLA players feel about him.
#cantgetoutfastenough
hey wolfman, if Hell-ton showed up on a field in Michigan, do you think even ONE reported would show up???
#NotVeryLikely
don’t forget Sark and Kiff!!…at least Petey’s wife was able to deal with his philandering with the grad student.
#CommonKnowledge
Baby gap teeth Andy. Damn. That’s actually funny!
