  1. Did it bother anyone else that he never noticed flags thrown on the Trojans until 5 minutes later? “Now what are they saying? They’re gonna call a penalty against the Trojans. What’s going on here?” Well Tom, one of our lineman tacked the middle linebacker. Everyone else in the stadium saw it. It was so obvious Marcus Allen almost stopped running mid-play to save energy.

    • Gee just wonderin’ seeing how you have that incident in your noggin just when did this take place? Was it against ‘The Princess’? No? Ohhh I got it – ‘bel-air tech’ am I right? Huh?

      • It happened in every game from when I started listening in 1978 until he retired.

  2. Great and awesome tribute. My thought would have been maybe having The figurine on one knee with the sword in the ground with the head bowing and the hands on top of the sword. The shield would be on his back. Still this is awesome

  3. Nice Tribute by JT!

Interestingly, the sad Trojan cartoon could have also been used to illustrate Pat Haden’s larceny. i liked the Haden=Nixon ‘toon, but Nixon was more of a paranoid cover-up artist than he was a thief. Embezzling from a charity is the lowest genre of theft. I remember in middle school a boy was caught stealing one of those donation “change cans” from a counter and to this day that’s how everyone remembers him. He could’ve stole a car and robbed a bank, and he’d have a better reputation.

        • Haden we’ll deal with what’s in front of him. USC’S new AD will start next month. We will move on. Most of us have moved on a long time ago from PH. No one person is bigger than the University. And never will be.
