  1. Cut and paste as usual. I’m sorry. That was mean. Nice “reporting” SW.

    Fight On Stubbsy!

    • I’m glad this was posted. In fairness I doubt anyone knew how Garrett Stubbs is doing. Minor league baseball is followed by two groups – scouts and parents.

      • I agree. But at the same time it is the slow summer days for things USC. I know we can’t ask SW to be everywhere (Lol). Some reporters might say “hey the kids in AA ball after only 1 year removed from College ball, maybe I’ll try and get a few Q’s & A’s and follow up on this.” It’s not a promotion to the big leagues, but it’s a lot better than picture and quotes of the day.

        • When is the first Fall practice scheduled? I know incoming students orientation is set for 3rd weekend in August.

          • August 8th I believe. Not sure. I think there’s a rule that college teams can only start 1 month before there opening game, or have 20 days of practice before the first game.

  2. Let me finish your “reporting” Wolfie…”Garrett Stubbs, who was the nation’s top catcher in 2015, has been playing IN THE HOUSTON ASTROS’ FARM SYSTEM with the Class A Lancaster Jet Hawks but tonight he makes his debut with the Class AA Corpus Christi Hooks. Stubbs hit .291 with six home runs and 38 RBI for Lancaster.” See, like you I just cut and paste. Unlike you, I actually put which major league team he is on. You were too lazy to look it up..
