Watch List Warning

Marqise LeeWith today’s Maxwell and Bednarik watch lists, it means the onslaught begins of numerous awards and their watch lists. Which is a good time to remember the year former USC WR Marqise Lee won the Biletnikoff Award, the award forgot to put him on its watch list.

  1. That was a surprise. He had an awesome freshman year. He ate up Oregon as a freshman.

      • Will be interesting to see if USC really gets back to a Tailback U Style of play. I’d love to see it, just not sure Helton has what it takes to pull off this type of football. Hasn’t been our style for quite awhile.

        • I believe our OL, can be coached by our new OL coach to play that style well.I believe we have the backs.Think we got a taste of that in UCLA game.its all there .But I don’t think coaches will commit the Offensive to that as our primary style.
Davis ,Jones and others would kill it with 50+ carries a game.

      • Pete, some pretty good news. Alabama commit OT Alex Leatherwood a legit 5-Star said today that USC is definitely his #2 school. This is getting more and more interesting with this kid.

        • Isn’t tthat goodnews! He’s coming back for an official right? In the Bama game a lot will at stake. Even if we have va close loss, kids like him may see how they could be game changers here. Thanks Bud

          • He said he wants to visit SC after his football season is over so he can get the full attention from the staff. That’s a great signal since he’s already raving about them currently. He’s a Florida kid, and we have a good chance of flipping him. He knows about SC’S tradition with Florida kids and them all doing well at SC. You are right we have to compete against Bama and show that we’re on the right track.

          • His unofficial visit during the Rising Stars Camp blew him away. He said he got the “royal” treatment and said he loves the campus. I wouldn’t be surprised of his official visit is also the same weekend as Najee Harris.

          • Tua Tagovailoa also said today that USC is recruiting him the hardest with Alabama, and that Alabama and USC are his only “for sure” official visits. The last two days he’s pretty much said USC is back in the picture. The Rollercoaster called recruiting.

          • Think you and I both expected that with Tua.Having lived in Hawaii for 10 years, Island families consider Utah the East. He has a big family, I think we flip him if we truly want him.
