Here is an article in Variety that paints a generally downbeat picture on the state of the Coliseum. One improvement: New lighting. “USC — the stadium’s primary tenant — was planning on upgrading the incandescent lights in 2017. But with the arrival of the Rams, the school decided to go ahead and get the work done. The LED lights going up now will be brighter — making games look better on TV — and more energy efficient.”
The article states USC will pause construction in 2018 (the Rams’ last season) and finish in 2019. Wonder how the stadium will look in that 2018 season?
Read the article, what a dump. Memo to USC, demolish it and start fresh.

The sight lines in the Coliseum are simply unacceptable. Why defend the indefensible? It’s a terrible place to watch a game.

Since when did USC start comparing itself to f ucla? We should compare our stadium to the facilities at Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Wisconsin, Washington, Oklahoma and LSU. They are far superior.

The Rose Bowl recently renovated, has been voted the last three years, the best CFB venue.
Oddly, the crumbling mausoleum was not listed in the 100 venues collecting votes.
It is today 2016 the most historic extant stadium in the entire nation – nothing come close.
According to other posters, apparently the dump was declared a historical monument and it is impossible to blow the place up and build a modern stadium befitting the #1 football program in the nation.

Maybe they should replace the seats. I posted pictures of the unusable seats in our section. If I’m not mistaken the current seating is a throwback to the Raiders. With sun, rain, and smog bleaching these back breaking seats, I think it should be a priority.
I do remember when USC couldn’t play at night on TV because the lighting was so poor.

DT Greg Rogers is at SC right now on an unofficial visit having a blast. He posted a picture on Twitter with BKU and Clay Helton “Loving it up here at USC! Amazing✌”.
I was hoping he would commit by the end of the summer like most thought. There were reports that he already silently committed in April, but either way we look very good for Rogers. Rogers and #1 DT Marvin Wilson (visits on the 23rd) are really good friends and it would be a nice haul if we can land these two both in the middle at DT. Our chances are growing by the weeks. Come on down fellas!
