Pac-12 Vs. SEC

The Pac-12 moved its media days to an earlier-than-ever mid-July in order to piggyback off the ESPYs, an easy-to-ignore TV event. But the Pac-12 media days are also going against SEC media week.

Today’s testy exchange between Nick Saban and Paul Finebaum only brought more focus on the SEC. Can you imagine anything like that happening at the sleepy Pac-12 media days? The press conferences are usually boring. About the only interesting thing that happens is if Pat Haden releases an embarassing video saying he fully supports Lane Kiffin the day before and then fires him less than three months later. But Kiffin is gone and so are the fireworks.

  1. That’s as silly as you reporting on former USC staffers who have nothing to do with the university.. Maybe its time to join RENTS, 22 and Chuckles at their day job at McDonald’s .. The official clown suit wearing fools!

    • That’s as silly as a clown suit wearing Cow Poly grad pretending to be a USC fan, CowpolyFan3.0.

  2. Well you might be right Mr. Blogger because if anyone knows boring it would be you.

  3. It would have been a shock if Sabin HAD benched/sacked those two thugs – now that would be some news thar’ ya’ all!

That nationally televised game set for Saturday 3rd September @ 5:00 pm PDT is givin’ Sabin an itch a real itch!

  4. Let’s hope we find out what Coach Facecup knows about Bradley’s Penn State memory loss.

  5. Love how none of the beat reporters asked Saban about the non-suspension.

    • What about how he ripped the police after a handful of them were killed this week.

  6. Off topic.
Scott Schrader is now part of USC/Rivals. I had heard some rumors why he was no longer part of fighton247, but those rumors were most likely BS now. It’s obvious now his insider knowledge has turned into a promotion at rivals. The dude knows his recruiting. He won’t feed you any BS to brighten your day. I may have to start subscribing to rivals.

  7. I finally found the Nick Saban story, so I am better able to comment here. I don’t really care that two of his players were sitting in a car smoking a joint. That type of thing can be attributed to numerous athletes for years.
What bothers me is the stupidity of said same players sitting in a car with a loaded pistol on their lap.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not against owning guns, but there is a time and a place…

  8. Wolf-I hate to remind you, but YOU GO TO PAC 12 MEDIA DAYS…Why don’t YOU ask the tough questions like Finebaum did (even though he is an SEC homer)…YOU complain how boring they are, but YOU can shake things up by asking the “tough” questions that you always ask us to answer. How about asking a Pac 12 coach to answer them instead?

  9. 22 you are one sad pathetic clown.. You are probably the 3.0 deflecting attention away from yourself.. I bet you and challenged several times.. How about putting your money where your mouth is .. Bet you $1,000 you have me pegged as someone else..
