  1. The key word here is “media” poll – comprised of non-athletic wannabes who know nothing of sports reality.

  2. The media uses popularity over facts for their measuring stick when they evaluate a team , and it appears most don’t have confidence in Clay Helton, or his staff , based on coaching rankings .

      • Of course it’s irrelevant, but that’s how they think, , and time usually proves them wrong.

    • Hi Fred. I for one don’t think the “rankings” of Helton or the team are an insult, or a slight. I think they reflect what everyone has been lamenting these past 3 years—USC has not delivered on a consistent basis. And until they deliver, the entire program will not receive any benefit of the doubt–& nor should they. This year will tell us a lot about the program & Helton. Wins & losses will be a part of the evaluation but not the only part. I am looking to see if the team is prepared and gets better as the year progresses–it sure seems like all good teams share those attributes.

  3. Randy Cross on the little gutties – “Until they’re known for something more than a blonde-haired throwing QB they’re not going anywhere.”

      • and don’t start blabbing statistics from the 1900’s. let’s face it, both our schools are devoid of any REAL Nattys, you know, the ones actually WON on the field, not the toilet paper kind!!

we should start a support group. i’ll head the one for Cadre and other cool people. you can head up the Trranny Chapter. Deal????

        • Let’s be fair CB, we should recognize the bozo u FB NC the late Emperor Garrett issued and spit pasted on Hubris Hall’s wall.

        • So, if I’m following your logic, Usc, Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami, Penn State, Oklahoma and Nebraska combined have the same number of National championships in football as Ucla?

If we are not using National Championships, what is the measure used to determine the best programs in college football history? Whatever measure you’re using, please tell me how Ucla stacks up to Usc and these other programs by that measure. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    • Damn! Randy basically disinvited the Bruins to the party, but also disrespected their girlfriend.

  4. wolfman, you are gonna give the Dummies a COMPLEX!! to start the week, you exposed the under-performing O-Line, the number of NFL flops and now the dismal poll projections…..quite frankly, i don’t think the Dummies can HANDLE the rough and tumble pace you are setting for this week!!
