USC.TRACK

It’s not just football, even USC track trophies can be sold . . . and bought.

    • John, is there a story here? Did the school know before the items were listed for sale? Is the sale sanctioned by the school? I agree that the sale of a schools trophies is a bad look. But it would be nice to know the history of the trophies and how they got from USC to the open market. It is possible if not probable the school has screwed the pooch here, but before I am going to cast aspersions I would like to get a bit more information.

      • I think (but don’t know) it happened this way.
A guy had this collection of really cool stuff and he needed to write it off so he started a museum so it was tax deductible. He let people come for free and it was really cool. Since it was free, he got lots of people to donate stuff. So I think some was given and most was bought. So now, he’s selling it off.
Only hope he is only selling the stuff he bought.
        Might not be a thing.

    • The school looks foolish?
      Just another day at SoCal.
By the way, you want to talk about looking foolish? Take another look at your photo.

  1. Hey Pat time for you to buck up and tell all just why is this happening? Come on Pat no more foundation payouts for you cutie….need to ‘man up’ and tell us …. or maybe…..no don’t go there

  2. Now it sounds like it was under Pat Haden’s watch, because he’s obviously one greedy, individual.

  3. Since they’re being offered, I’ll buy a few. In the future, f the University ever asks for them, I’ll gladly donate them. This is not a big deal, hardly worth attention. The length of the grass on the practice field should certainly get some ink..
