The big story at the Olympics last night was the swimming rivalry between Lilly King of the United States and Russia’s Yulia Efimova, who was booed at the event because she has been banned twice for doping.

Efimova spent the past couple years as a member of the Trojan Swim Club (the USC connection!). USC swim coach Dave Salo recently said he would not allow international swimmers on the club “I can somehow find a way to assure we [Trojan Swim Club] don’t have these kinds of problems.”

So did Efimova count as one of USC’s 44 Olympians? Wink. Wink.

          • You are pinhead, you jack with others and you expect respect.. Sadly fool ..You are no one special.. Take my advice, and I mean it.. You don’t know me and have didisrespected me since I have joined wanting to talk USC.. As a USC alum, its not cool joining a sausage fest of clowns who talk sh#t and not football, my history with the school goes back 45 years and I am proud to say I am a Trojan.. And yes my family is very well connected in LA, USC circles and the sports and entertainment world. And lastly I have not been jumping off and returning as others, no need.. As I said before, I can handle myself having a background in martial arts.. No warning, but if your BS continues, we will have a problem as I know many at the Daily News above the pay grade of the blogger .

  6. The best swimmers recently on the Trojan teams are foreigners. Salo can’t recruit the top swimmers from the U.S. like a Missy Franklin or Katie Ledecky. His divers are usually from Japan. So what is he mouthing off about. He had Katina Hossu and still did not win a N/C for the women. His one big credit is beating the ‘ruins every season by a good margin.
