  1. Impressive turn out at the Coliseum – biggest crowd ever for a pre-season game in the USA >91K then again the lambs haven’t been in the playoffs in 12 years…the lambs

  2. wha?????

    ANOTHER trOXan with “unfinished BIDNESS”???

hey Brice, maybe you can compare notes with the PIOUS PASSER, it would appear he, too, has STILL unfinished bidness!!!!!

    HAWR-HAWR!!!

but seriously, Pious was an insufferable phony, but i have to say he certainly “left it out on the field”….his incisors i mean!!!

    HAWR-HAAAAAWR!!!!

    • Yeah he did and it was good listening to the reporter exchange with him specific to USC.

      • Again. Where’s Mr. Juarez? He better be in San Bernardino already hanging with the homies.

    • Did not see or hear the interview. Is there a link or story anywhere? If not, what did he say? Thanks

    • I don’t know if you caught it, but Swann almost said the word “interim” when talking about Helton. In short, Helton has a very small window.

      • I didn’t catch that, but I agree. And if Helton was smart he’ll take what happened to the previous two head coaches very seriously. He has to show this season that this team is on the right path.

        • Why not, he got blown out by Oregon and Stanford last season and Pat Haden made him the permanent head coach.

          • That was his “honeymoon” get out of jail free card that he used up. He’s been here long enough, he knows the players. He was hired in November, but didn’t finalize his staff until February so he better show results.

        • Competitive play, and 9 wins will get Clay Helton another year, anything less will have Lynn Swann making contact with legitimate coaches in the nfl, and in college football. Because the sooner Swann puts his stamp on the team, the quicker he can build a reputation as an, Athletic Director.

          • Yep. Whether it’s fair or unfair, Helton has seen first hand where a mediocre football team at USC will get you. The first month will either be a hot one for him or an enjoyable one. The media, alumni, boosters, fans won’t be kind of he lays an egg in September and having a new AD’S encouragement can change fast.

          • Another big factor will be whether Helton is in control of the team and program. With Kiffin & Sark there was always turmoil, controversy & problems. Those issues combined with inconsistent ( many say incompetent) coaching led to a program in a very unsettled state.

          • I agree. I like the direction and the attitude so far. Feels a lot different than Kiffin and Sark’s.

          • You can use turmoil, controversy, incompetent and inconsistent for a recent USC AD as well.

          • I don’t think the Alabama game will be a deciding factor, but once USC gets into Pac 12 Play, they better start beating up on some teams , or uh oh , a change maybe in the works.

          • It’s how the team competes, and finishes the season is who Clay Helton is, not a win or loss against, Alabama.

    • It’s called beer goggles. You wake up in bed the next morning and turn over and say “WTF did I do?”

        • Wow. He was pressured to go there in the first place. It’s a shame he wasn’t allowed to make his own decision from the beginning.

          • Some chatter on twitter.. Looking to see if he comments why and where is at and whats next.. USC don’t need, maybe next year should he go a diff direction JC etc.

          • Don’t know if SC is an option for him, Clay Helton let Caleb Wilson transfer to SUCLA, I doubt he let’s Mique go anywhere in the conference.

          • I doubt with all the drama Lynn would allow Helton to bring him in.. After a yr off SEC bound is my guess.

        • His parents heard what they wanted to hear.. Dumb if you ask me, our boy is in the 19 class at Oaks Christ.. We are allowing to go through the process and when he’s ready we will talk.No need to talk now, he has 3 more yrs of HS.. Anything can happen!

          • Please, please, Cowpoly, spare us the “you” news. If you want to tell people all about you, we’ll follow you on Facebook.

  3. Karma101. Never pop off saying that our players are gonna be Ineligible when something like this can easily happen.

    • Helton will do ok.. He already has playoff and bowl experience .. The players respect him.

      • I agree. But my comments were directed to Safer in Wimpwood who said Iman Marshall wasn’t gonna be eligible and that Tyler Vaughns and Jack-Jack wanted to transfer. Man do people love to talk!

      • This is exactly what happened with Mathew Thomas. Another 5 Star who’s dad made him sign with Florida St because he wasn’t 18, but he wanted to play for SC and Jimbo Fisher wouldn’t let him transfer to SC. This is the crap that happens when you pretty much take a life decision away from a kid.

  4. Roquan Smith 5* LB
    Chris Clarke 5* TE
    Fred Ulu-Perry 4* OL
    Cordell Broadus 4* WR
    Mique Juarez 5* LB

All done at UCLA before they even get on the field. This is unsolved mysteries. What’s going on over there?
