If you wanted to park at the Rams game and did not have a parking pass, this was one of the options Saturday. And if you thought you could park at USC, forget it. USC only accepted parking passes from Rams season-ticket holders. That meant if you had the misfortune of showing up Saturday to visit USC for non-football purposes, you were not allowed on campus to park. Welcome NFL!
The Coliseum was filled. Everyone found a place to park or got to the game without a parking need. No problem. USC made another boatload of money.
Once again Wolf, if you don’t like the parking fees for the Rams games don’t pay the money, and take the metro to the Coliseum. During your time at USC did you major in bitching?
He wrote the manual.
You are defending $100 for parking? That’s ridiculous.
I’m not defending anything. It is the free enterprise system at work. You get what you can get. You mean to tell me if had a prime parking lot near the Coliseum you wouldn’t be charging the same, if not more, as your competitors?
Why did the $100 dollar parking fee shock everybody, Saturday afternoon ?, because it’s been $70 to $80 dollars for USC games, since, Forever!!!!!
Its not that it shocked him. He just has no ‘Inside’ info to write about.
Yep. I thought it was $60- $80.
You think that $100 is reasonable?
No, but $100 dollar parking should not be a shock to anyone in Los Angeles, because it’s $70 to $80 dollars to park at a USC game, and during the 1984 Olympics, it was $100 plus around the Coliseum.
During the Trojans games those parking spots are over $60. Only reason I know is because my cousins husband gets to the game about an hour before game time and parks there. We get to the games early and tailgate. It’s an all day tradition.
It was really different at the Rams game. Very little tailgating as compared to USC games. For 1 there was no tailgating allowed on campus. They started bulldozing the Sports Arena last Friday and no tailgating allowed there as that complete property was fenced off. The perimeter of the Coliseum has also been fenced off due to security reasons. So additional tailgating spots lost.
With the NFL security measures there were barricades everywhere. Fortunately there were no emergencies otherwise a lot of folks would have gotten hurt by a stampede with very little room to maneuver.
