Clay Helton To Name QB Sunday

USC coach Clay Helton said he anticipates naming a starting QB on Sunday. Helton said he wants to have time over the weekend to meet with the quarterbacks. Friday was expected to be decision but it is also the Salute to Troy dinner, so Helton won’t have much time after practice to do anything.

Well it should be an interesting evening this year what with two famous but now disgraced USC officials no longer at University Park.

BTW why has there no further disclosure on Pat Haden’s sticky fingers of 16+ years? Just what exactly is the university’s position re. the former athletic director.

Said former athletic director went to great lengths to separate the university from Reggie Bush – why is there no blow back for Haden?

  I have no favorite in this race, but I would hope Browne is ready being he’s been in the program for 4 years now. But I like that Darnold is mobile. If Browne got the nod it would be wise to put Darnold in for short yardage situations, maybe some read option packages to throw off the defense.
