OJ.SHIRT

SEC fans live for this kind of stuff and now Alabama fans have a controversial shirt to purchase in response to the USC bookstore’s “Roll Tears Roll” T-shirt.

  1. When looking at the Mique Juarez situation at UCLA, coverage on the Daily News UCLA Blog and other on-line UCLA sources has been virtually non existent. I.E. Bruin Report On-line has had only a snippet of information about this and now they are looking for writers for their site. This shows you how important the UCLA football program is to the people over in Westwood. This is where I have to give Wolf some credit. If the #1 linebacker recruit in the nation stopped going to practice at USC Wolf would have hourly or daily updates as to the situation. Last night a poster on TOS posted a tweet from Juarez basically saying it was time to leave, yet nothing has been posted on the UCLA blogs. Pathetic!

    • What’s pathetic is some broken down weirdo from a different school obsessing over some 18yr old’s personal bidness!

Mora already said the kid has confidential personal items to resolve and the press and fans should leave the kid alone. Most everyone gets that.

      #StalkerAlert

      • Don’t be so sensitive Shirley. Just because the inmates are running the asylum in Wimpwood is no reason to come crying on a USC board about it. We’re happy for you!

I love that Mique refuses to practice and The Chimp can’t do anything about it. I think it’s good for bruin morale, where your best recruit gets to jump the fence every day before practice even starts. Brilliant.

I suggest a ucla t-shirt reading REAL MEN DON’T PRACTICE, signed THE CHIMP

          • Is it true Mique’s been incapacitated by some fat girlfriend who has him in her big-armed headlock and under her spell and that he’s overwhelmed with mommy and daddy issues? This doesn’t seem very confidential to me Shirley. It’s common public knowledge little gutty. Sorry, the cat’s out of the bag Shirley.

          • Speaking of SECRETS, when are you going to finally reveal who is the hideous trrannie in you avatar pic….and why do you always fall silent as a stone when we ask???

            #HurtFeelings

            #iKnowWhoItIs

          • Okay. It’s a picture of Mique’s girlfriend when she used to be happy and before she put on 150 pounds.

        • Jack,
I’m getting your slogan custom made and wearing it to the game!
          Thanks!
          #ANDYISWINNING!!!

      • There is the pot calling the kettle black. Your entire, sorry, pathetic life revolves around your bromance with Wolf, USC, and this blog.

        • as i’ve stated, we are the Real Linebaker U…..we’re filthy with ’em…..if he goes, we won’t even notice. if he wants a chance at the Lott Impact award or the Butkis award, then he should stay.

          #ItsLikeThat

    • The difference is bozo u isn’t shy about advertising its numerous underwear skid marks.

    • ucla’s approach to Mique fits the typical Wimpwood insecure narrative so well. The Chimps got his monkey ears in the sand and all connected to ucla are under strict orders to back off while The Chimp waits. And he’ll wait till the cows come home for Mique The Deserter.

  2. I get the joke, but I’m guessing the Brown and Goldman families don’t think that shirt is too funny.

    • They probably don’t appreciate Pat Haden honoring OJ in the peristyle end of the Coliseum with the giant #32 jersey at every home game either.

      • You can only be remorseful of your own actions. I will not speak for anyone but myself, but I think making jokes about someone’s murder is in poor taste.

          • Just Owns, If you cannot distinguish between what ought to be a friendly rivalry, and a case where two lives were taken…. I guess you’re what the people on here call a troll. I don’t like you. I’m sure you’ll come back with some pithy response.

  3. The USC administration deserves exactly what they got, because they should have never allowed the Alabama “Roll Tears ” T shirt to get out .

    • Come on Fred. You really believe a t-shirt’s gonna affect how players perform? You’re joking, right?

      • I wasn’t talking about it in that sense, Jack, I was talking bringing the OJ Simpson murders to light. I’m smart enough to know bulletin board material won’t fire up a team long enough to sustain a victory.

        • ALA doesn’t tolerate being made fun of ever (Punt Bama Punt) – so they come out with a totally irrelevant and inappropriate reference to the murders of the century. Roll Tears Roll? That’s just playful bantering.

Sorry, but BAMA looks like dirty backwater here. Pure hickville supreme. Deliverance all over Tuscaloosa. BAMA just dished out a bowl of mud all over itself.

          Different strokes for hillbilly folks.

          • Absolutely. What credible institution of higher learning would put out something like this? What exactly is the mission statement at Alabama? Protect football at the expense of all else?

          • Ya, so why are they so upset they’re bringing up O.J. Simpson? Bizarre.

Alabama also lets their criminals play with no penalty. All-America OL Cam Robinson shouldn’t be on the field against USC. That speaks enough for ALA too.

          • Then let’s just have a percentage. What percent chance does ‘SC have to win against bama, 10 maybe 15 percent? Will he answer that?

          • The game is going to be closer then people think, and USC really has a chance to win.

          • I think we’ve got a very talented, well-coached team with a not-broken-in QB that doesn’t have good experience winning the big ones. I see a winnable game in the 4th but ALA’s filled with dudes who know how to close it out and has fantastic coaching. Great in the trenches. We’ll surprise ’em though and if our QB isn’t just shell-shocked, we’ll hurt ‘Bama with the pass. I just can’t see us running big in them despite what our OL expectations are. But if we can somehow run for 200 on ‘BAMA, we’ll win. I just don’t see it.

          • I think we can get your 200 if we can get to the corner. Alabama has big tough guys upfront on defense, but they don’t have great lateral speed. That’s also another reason you like to see a legitimate TE group in place. That’s why I like Darnold in this game and also why I like Green in the wildcat. I fully expect some misdirection and sleight of hand out of the offense. Anything but just lining up and trying to pound them the whole game. I don’t think Alabama is as confident as the media/zeitgeist is.

    • Fred , agree with you entirely. Cant believe USC started this nonsense based on our lack of success in the last decade compared to Bama. Best thing would have been to go out and beat them and then create a T-shirt

          • I’ll admit I’d be mighty impressed if someone came up with your screen name, posted on boards for most, if not, all of the schools in the conference in order to build some credibility and then came here to troll.
Commit to the trolling life! There’s one guy here with over 12,000 posts on his latest incarnation alone.

      • Gee, maybe we shouldn’t wear our hats into the game. Can we put our hats back on if we win?

Go Tide Go! How about this on out shirts?

    • There’s no equivalency here, Fred. Your statement is ridiculous and so is your constant negativity.

      • Just being a realist, but if you want me to pretend like lots of USC fans, then your fresh out of luck.

        • Fred, that might make sense if I could find one good thing you say about the program.

Responding to a good natured ribbing with a reference to a double murder is not appropriate, but you don’t think so because, as always, USC is doing something wrong.

          • Everything you say abou USC is just a further indictment of ucla. Even if everything you say about USC (which is that 98% of what USC does is wrong) is right, they have still managed to dominate ucla. Why do you insist on coming in here and arguing ucla is a better football program when there’s almost 100 years of history that leads to a clear conclusion? Why should anyone throw out what actually happened and listen to your inane BS? You’re a cartoon.

BTW, just out of curiosity, what is the 2% that USC does right?

        • Amen, Fred. Seems like if your objective and dont eat up the USC hype all the time you shouldnt be on this blog or you are a UCLA fan. Thanks for bringing some real perspective.

          • Real perspective is keeping quiet so that Alabama doesn’t get mad and beat us up? We can’t put out a tee shirt ribbing them because now we’re really in for it? Are you sure you guys are really USC fans? Is that what Trojan fans have become? THAT’S PERSPECTIVE? You saps have obviously and entirely lost your perspective. The sanction years have made you guys soft and you should be wearing blouses instead of tee shirts anyway. Like I said, if this was 2005 you guys would be totally behind this shirt. The fact is that you’re scared of getting beat up and you’re playing punk. That’s YOUR perspective, not USC’s.

          • Fred and Pac-12 are generally pessimistic. They think we’re all Rah Rahs and “eat up all the USC hype all the time.” They’re pretty clueless in that regard but attitudes are generally deeply ingrained. Trolls dig both Fred and Pac-12 and like to compliment them – as though they’re somehow smarter.

          • Yeah, I guess if we don’t agree that USC is generally total krap, we’re rah rahs. I have no problem saying when USC is wrong. However, USC is a special program and USC fans know that and so does any objective third party.

This isn’t the time to be pessemistic, it’s the time to be optimistic. Haven’t we been in the bunker long enough? Is the fallout not clear yet? When was the last time USC did something like this as far as showing a little moxie? We uses to have some give and take with other schools, but we’re so used to taking it we forgot how to give it and some of us are scared to.

    • If this was 2005 you guys wouldn’t give a hoot what kind of tee shirt we put out. Because you are afraid of Bama and not confident in your team, poking the bear is a problem. Buck up dude.

    • bozo u marketing always Trumps good taste, common sense and decorum. You can trust bozo u marketing to spray gas to put out a fire.

  4. GEEZ LOUISE, wolfman!!! You know, it’s accepted that BRUINS are intellectually superior to trOXans, but when you gueys are being OUT WITTED by a bunch of back water, inbred, possum eating trailer trash, well, wolfman…

    #ShameInYourGame

  5. It sucks to be Alabama as the families of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman have sent the university a demand to remove, Sounds like Bama’s response hit a nerve and rightfully so..

Anyway, the #blueprint for success at Ucla has turned in to the #bluechimp disaster..

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get…

Ucla wanted Mique, and well, they see what they got, an 18 year old kid who that doesn’t want to be there..

  6. This just shows the lack of creativity, class and intelligence of the state of Alabama and the south in general. A play off of their tag line leads to making light of a double murder? There isn’t even an attempt at humor in this response. Just further evidence that football trumps everything in the south including decency.

Here’s sincerely hoping we can take from them what they value most on Sept 3rd. What does Alabama have other than Crimson Tide football? The southern United States, a historical and ongoing embarrassment to this country.

    • Well, I can’t say I disagree about the South East U.S., although I do like Carolina BBQ…and golfing in Hilton Head.

      • They deserved to take a cruise. I’ve heard about golf in that area, but never been there.

    • Sam, making light of a double murder is not “friendly trash talk”. Are you comparing losing lives to losing a football game??

      • I here you. I really do. But when it comes to this kind of stuff it’s an all out slugfest of trash talk. I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s the way it is.

        • That’s the way it is for some schools and regions. Nobody in the Pac 12 would ever put out a shirt like that.

          • I’m not defending this shirt. But these are college students. We started it. They took it too far. What can we do? Play football.

          • We can call their attention to the fact that it’s totally out of line. IF administrators at Alabama

          • If we really wanted to keep playing the t-shirt game we would hit them with the “Kiffin slept with Saban’s daughter” t-shirt. Not saying we do it, but we have it in the holster.

          • No, it won’t go away because the kind of thinking that spawns it is still firmly entrenched in the south. You have to check things like this because it’s bigger than football.

          • Do you think you would have such a cavalier attitude if it was your family members who had their throats cut? Why does something have to happen to people directly before they find some empathy? I respect your takes on things generally, but in this I’m severly disappointed.

  7. I didn’t like the USC “Roll Tears Roll” shirt, no idea who would even give the “go” to print that, but this is a totally classless response. There are more people involved in this than just the University. The families of the victims maybe? The victims themselves maybe?

  8. Did the resident trolls collect a consulting fee on this? This is exactly like something you would find in the comments section on a blog.

  9. Sheesh. This got outa hand quick. Ours was pretty weak, considering the kind of team that Alabama was last year. Now this?

  10. Unfortunately, this blog is starting to be more about berating others than actual football discussion. Would be good to talk about the players , coaches , and anakysis of the team rather than tshirts .

    • Tell it to SW. He picks the topics. It’s been this way for years. Nothing’s changed and it never will. SW’s mission is to attract Trolls with trash and he’s a USC outsider who doesn’t have access.

  11. The difference is USC’s shirt was sold through the bookstore. The OJ shirt is from Bubba outta his garage. Like playing DII schools in November, they ain’t got the stones!!!

    #ROLL420

  12. First of all, this shirt is in no way affiliated with the University of Alabama. It is sold on a website called Teepublic, which allows independent “artists”, as the website describes them, to get their designs out there. Alabama would never allow this to be sold and endorsed by the university and shame on this writer for portraying it that way.
