I recommend everyone read today’s column by my colleague, Mark Whicker, on Jim Hardy, the oldest living Ram. But more important, he also was the quarterback at USC for three years (1942-44) and led the Trojans to two Rose Bowl victories. He is 93 and still drives two hours from his home in La Quinta each week to watch USC practice.
Here is the column. Above, Hardy (27) carries the ball against Montana in 1942.
Right, the great Jimmy Hardy, First class bozo u coward.
Kick a man while he’s old, Jim is a great man.. and a long time family friend of my father.. Not many were bred like Jim.. USC was better for having him as a player and alum.. Fight On Jim. ✌
well at least Owns is not burying him prematurely, T-Fail…are you going to send flowers??
What. .?
HAWR-HAWR!!! you wrote “kick a man when he’s dead?? RIP JIM!!!!!”
that was an EPIC fail, even for T-FAIL!!!!!
#NoVegasBreakDown
No I didnt .. WOW!
not very good reading comprehension skillz for a big $5mill a year tv mogul!!!!
HAWR-HAWR!!!!
Sadly you can’t read..
T-Fail you are well known to lie more than Reggie or even Todd McNair.
aren’t you “Retired LAPD”??? HAWR-HAWR!!!!!!
Nope!
Your game plan worked to a T, 55.
If your father wants Jimmy Hardy, bozo u coward, as a friend that’s his business.
Unfortunately, while Jimmy Yellow was running up the score vs cupcake FB competition, real men, real heroes were dying on the front lines protecting the US.
Who cares.. My father was a war vet as was my two older brothers and other members of my family..Jim is a good man.. Have not seen him since the late 90’s.. His decisions were his.. Leave it be.
Eat my shorts. SW thread refers to Mr Hardy not your daddy, his brothers, your brother or you.
Plain and simple, if Jimmy Hardy was capable of playing FB, any reasonable person would assume he could a carry a rifle.
In my opinion Mr Hardy is a first class coward.
You have issues. PTSD..
Yawn.
CTE…from falling off bar stools.
So defend our country via KEYBOARD.. Were you a real soldier or fell deep into your GI Joe’s ..
I read where Mr. Hardy served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Battleship Maryland (in the Pacific) for the final several months of the War. He was 22 years old. Drafted in the first round of the 1945 NFL draft, he missed his first pro season while serving his country.
12-25-94 LA TIMES article shares his service time.
After the war was over.
If you are a real person, you lied about being sober. No one sober could make such ignorant statements like you do. You make ucla fans proud.
Ignorant to you is proving the cheesy Jimmy Hardy, bozo u coward, played FB while real MEN, real HEROES were dying on the front lines defending the US.
Jimmy Yellow was a WWII coward.
Did anyone mention the insurance scam and clock problem at the coli under Jims’s management–ck his brother about sweet deals.
Who cares!
What a great Trojan! Fight on Jim Hardy.
My parents knew Jim at Fairfax High —- everything I ever heard about the guy was good. First class human being.
